Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
How nice this site exists for your great grandchildren to be able to post reflections for the ancestor his 7 month old daughter revered and who taught her family to revere him.

MY MEMORIES OF YOU GRANDFATHER CAME FROM THE BABY DAUGHTER OF 7 MONTHS WHEN YOU WERE TAKEN AWAY. SHE DID NOT KNOW YOU, ONLY WHAT FAMILY AND FRIENDS TOLD HER, SHE KEPT YOUR MEMORY ALIVE AND DOES UNTIL THIS DAY. THE PICTURE OF YOU SITTING ON HER CHEST, THE FEELINGS OF CLOSENESS SHE HAS FELT THROUGHOUT THE YEARS FROM YOU, MADE YOU REAL TO ME AND I TOO DEVELOPED A LOVE FOR MY GRAMPA JESSIE, I KEEP YOUR MEMORY ALIVE IN YOUR GREAT GRAND CHILDREN AND ON AND ON, I LOVE YOU AND AM PROUD TO CALL YOU GRAMPA.
