Tim, you will never know how much working with you meant to me and my kids. You gave me a ride to work when my car wasn't running. You talked about your family when I saw you at the BP station and how much the overtime was going to come in handy for the vacation that you wanted to take them on. You joked with my son on the way to school and he thought you were so cool! I didn't know that you were going to be taken from us so abruptly or I would have made sure that you knew how much you meant to me and my family. You always took calls that you were sent to and never hesitated. You kept us safe and we seemed to take that for granted. I miss you cracking a joke about calls that were crazy. You always had such a great sense of humor. To your wife, children and family, my family has you in our thoughts and prayers every day. We will miss him so much at work, as I know that you do every day at home. Tim, watch over all of us as you always have. We will never forget you.

Tim it was an honor to have worked with an officer as fine as you. I remember the first time I ever met you when I first joined the dapartment in 2001. You were giving a class on first aid/CPR to the new guys for in-service training. You were a man fellow officers looked up to and a man that the bad guys feared! I am almost embarrassed to have worked WITH you on patrol and not FOR you. You are the mold of the PERFECT officer...calm,fearless,loving,funny...the list goes on and on. Unfortunately early Monday morning October 3rd that mold was broken. We all here at HCSO miss and love you more than you can imagine. You were the one that EVERYONE liked. You were the one everyone wanted to be. You gave the ultimate sacrifice to the people of our county and we all thank you for making this world a better place.
P.S. Just to let you know....we all got your final joke, having us stand out in a tropical storm to say our final "c-ya soon brother". Tim we love you and will miss you. God speed and keep them all laughing upstairs.

Tim was a trainer, a mentor, and a friend. I learned so much from him through the years. There are many fond memories from the days we served as firefighters to seeing you at the jail and on the road. Rest easy and watch over us until the day we meet again.

Your wife received the call we all hope we don't ever have to. I'm sorry. Most people don't realize these men are not only police officers but fathers, husbands, brothers and sons. They make us proud. It is a great honor to be a police officers spouse. To be an officers spouse means, watching your heart walk out the door everyday, not knowing if you will never see them again, jumping everytime the phone rings during the night, and praying you will see their face in the morning, it also means being strong in the face of darkness. Mrs. White stay strong. Tim I know your wife is proud of you and the life you lived. Thank you for protecting us all. your wife and children are in my prayers...

There's no other way I know how to explain events like this in life except for " God is in control". As humans we try to look for reasoning, maybe even blame, when we lose something we're not willing to give up. No matter how much or how little logic I can make of this tragedy, the bottom line is-- no one understands. People are use to finding remedies for pain. This pain, however, bears no remedy. If you think about it, there is very little we can control in life. I want to encourage people to love Tim and cherish the time they had with him in their lives. Understand that Tim received the most important gift in life and that is to be loved. A simple term with such tremendous meaning and power. As a supervisor in the jail, all I ever hear about from fellow officers is how awesome Tim was as a Lieutenant. I hope that one day I will earn a fraction of the respect that I've seen officers have for Tim. Tim was admired and loved by many. They say that if you leave this world with one true friend that you are a very blessed person. Tim you have received your blessings well. Rest easy and help me bestow the honor you have placed on my badge today.

Tim, I'll miss our converstions about guns, ballistics, tactics, etc. You always lifted my spirits with your sence of humor. It is my great fortune to have known and worked with you. I always knew you as a fine officer and a true gentleman, and the world is a better place because of you. Thank you!

To the family, friends, and co-workers of Deputy White, you have my deepest sympathies. I too feel your pain. I lost my wife, Ofc. Robin Vogel, Decatur Il. Police Department the same day. She succombed to her injuries she received in a crash on Oct. 1st. I know no words can describe the pain and loss you are experiencing now. Just remember, we are all one family and we are here to grieve with you. Learn to rely on your fellow officers for they are always there for you. Mine have been. God Bless.

Today we sent Tim to the Heavenly Precinct. His department represented him with the honor and courage that would have made him proud. Tim dedicated himself to the people of this community and this organization with this honor and courage. You never want to have a line of duty death but if you have one you can only hope that it is filled by a person with the integrity and love for the job that Officer Tim White had. He was a father, a husband, a man and a cop.
We love you and already miss you.

To the family and friends of Deputy Tim White and his fellow officers with the Hall County Sheriff's Office:
On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Deputy White was so tragically killed.
May you be comforted by the brotherhood and sisterhood of your law enforcement community, and by other police survivors. Our family grieves with you and for you.
In reading all the reflections about Tim, it is obvious he was well-loved by a lot of people and well-respected by his peers. It is heartbreaking to know that he leaves behind children who are now fatherless, but Tim will always watch over you. Heaven may have another hero, but how I wish this tragedy had not happened to Tim and his family.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the many years of distinquished service Deputy White gave to his community and the citizens of Georgia, and the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on October 3, 2005.

Tim you are among the best now and they will take care of you. The times we shared on the dive team together, I will never forget. You always had a kind word and smile. You made me laugh when I was down, that was you. You will never be forgotten. May God take you in his hand and love you forever. Rest in peace brother. I will see you. soon

Tim,
I have known you for about 5 years and I can't remember a time when you did't have a smile on your face or had everyone around you laughing. This whole Dept. has lost a great deputy. Although you were only on B Watch for about a year, it was great working with you even though you were on the North End. It breaks my heart every time I think about something happening to me, but I know that my family will be taken care of, just the same as your family is being taken care of, by the people left behind, continuing the fight like you want us to do. Tim, I will see you again when i leave this world and I hope you'll have a smile for me like the old times. Rest In Peace, Brother. We all still Love You.

Tim I will miss you greatly and it has left a huge void in my and Paul's heart. I will never forget the stories you told me one night in the Lt.s' coference room about Paul. We will both miss you and will always have you in our hearts. It takes a great man to be a father to kids who are not born his and I know that now having a husband who does that daily. I will never forget you and don't worry we will do our best to fill the void you have left in your family's heart. Had I known that Sunday night would be last time we would talk to you I would have told you how much you meant to us. You will be missed by all.

In the last six years i've worked side by side with Tim,he has been my brother, role model and friend. Not a day went by that I couldn't count on hearing one of Tims jokes to start the day. He was always straight forward with any answer he gave, never leaving any room for question. Tim thanks for everything.

If I had only known that on September 30th that it would be the last time I heard your voice, I would have asked just for one more laugh Tim. That is how I will remember you, for the laughter and friendship.

I send my deepest sympathy, prayers, and love to you and your children. Unfortunately I do know how your heart is breaking. My husband was a police officer for ten years(Sgt. K. Todd Helcher, Braselton, GA PD EOW 07/25/05) and a previous diver. We were blessed with three beautiful children. May you find some comfort and peace in the days ahead. Embrace your husbands brothers and sisters in blue, your family and friends, but first and most importantly embrace God. Remember: Life is eternal, Love is immortal, and death is only a horizon.
