Reflections for Corporal James Calvin "Jamie" Walker

Although I did not know your husband, your dad, or your son, my heart is broken for you all. I know you are very proud of him as well you should be. We are all better people because Jamie was a better person for us. God bless you all.

We remember the officers who changed our lives,
The men and woman who protected us day and night,
People who respect for their dedication to the cause,
For when faced with danger, they never even pause.

We remember the officers who always stood true,
Whatever the color of uniform, brown black or blue,
With pride and integrity they say "To serve and protect",
For the giving of their life, we offer our respect.

We remember the officers who we never really knew,
Persons strong enough to answer the challenge are few,
With heavy hearts we mourn the officers in eternal rest,
There's more to these people than the badge on their chest

I didn't have the honor of knowing you but, R.I.P Cpl. Walker as you will be greatly missed, but you will join all the other TRUE HEROS upstairs in heaven. Thanks for puttting your life on the line everyday you put on the uniform. Brother In Blue

I'd like to express my deepest condolences to the family, friends and fellow officers of Corpal Walker. Your loss is yet another tragedy to law enforcement and your community.

Locally in Newtown Borough, PA we lost one of our officers just one day later. Because this site was published in our local paper it has enabled so many of us to see just how many in law enforcement pay the supreme sacrafice every year. I wish the media did more on a national level to bring attention to these very sad situations.

Just like our Officer Gregg, Corporal Walker is a hero. The more I look at this site the more I am in awe over those who choose a career that puts the good of others over themselves.

Today, October 8th, 2005 this civilian is taking a moment to reflect upon Corporal Walker and to pray for your family. May God be with you all.

I did not know you personally but you are a hero. As you and many others know the Law Enforcement family is very close. I am proud to say I am a part of that family. I am also proud to say that your daughter, Kaitlyn, and my daughter, Allie, have been friends since kindergarten. I wish I could take all the pain away from your family cause it also hurts me.
Heaven is sweeter because you are there. One day all of your family and friends will be there with you. Just remember this is not goodbye it is see you later. You just went on to get things together for your family.

You will never be forgotten. Your life on this earth was short but you made such an impact on everyone.

Till we all meet again,

Jamie Walker was my brother-in-law. It's hard to find words in a time like this. I've been in Jamie's family for 10 years. After a while you brother-in-laws become more like brothers. It's hard when a fellow officer falls but it's even worse when you're family. At first I felt guilty because I helped Jamie get his job until someone reminded me that we do this job by choice. Every law enforcement officer does his/her job because they want to. Jamie loved his job more than life itself. I know if he could do it all over again he would still pin that badge on and go to work because it was a part of him. After a while the job becomes a part of your life and not just another job. Jamie was an outstanding police officer who made the ultimate sacrifice. Every officer knows the risk everytime they walk out the door to go to work, yet we still go. Jamie will be sorely missed by all that knew him. Jamie, rest in peace brother.

Another brave soldier in the never ending war on criminals in our country has been killed by a cowardly enemy. May the ruthless criminal responsible for this murder be brought to justice and sentenced to the most severe penalty. May the memory of your service, heroism and sacrifice remain forever. We are proud of you and thankful for all of your service. May God bless you and your family.
