To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Roy: I did not know you, but am working on a suitable memorial for the department's officers in the building. You will provide an inspiration for the younger officers joining the department. I speak with Ben regularly. He is doing well and remembers you and your sacrifice.

Sir, I drive past your memorial down at the milford fire station when ever im in town. I never knew you but you are a true hero. Its hard to imagine what it was like for the law enforcement family and residents of clermont county to lose 2 officers in about 3 months. I grew up in miami township and i plan to return to the FD there. you are still remembered every single day for what you did for miami township. please keep all of us emergency responders safe as we do our jobs
