SARGE,
You will be missed greatly, your smile, your happiness and your kindness. I will never forget how you were always happy, after we (yourself and other fellow Deputies)had completed working an assignment, whether it be a concert or a game, you always had a smile that would make us forget how tired we were. You were always fair and treated everyone with respect. You will never be forgotten. God Bless You and you family. I guess the man upstairs needed you more than us. I am sure he will take care of you and guide yor family.

My condolences to Sgt. Orozco's wife and family. I share your pain. I was blessed to know such a genuine, sincere and humble person. His words of comfort and encouragement would get me through a rough day. He was always smiling and laughing and his mood was contagious. He was a just and fair man, he always tried to understand you before judging you. He liked to embrace people with his kindness. He walked with integrity and determination. He always pushed you along, not to give up. For that I thank you Sgt. Orozco, one person in this world can make a difference in your life. By giving you their wisdom and knowledge and teaching you to be kind to others. So that you may become a better person.

My Brother Ruben, I hope to see you again one day. For now, all I have are memories, but they will have to do. You are in a wonderful place and I know that you will continue protecting those of us down here. The profession and career you chose was for life here on earth and after. Your presence is greatly missed. I remember the last time we spoke you looked at me, shook my hand and asked, "HOW YOU DOING POPS?" You really cared for others and the sincerity truly showed. The MAN upstairs has a better plan for you, and now you have found that out.
We live on borrowed time, and you made the best of it. We will take care of your family down here. Thanks for everything Bro.

I'm Glad You're in My Dash
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on his tombstone,
>From the beginning...to the end.
He noted that first came his date of birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.
(1954 - 2005)
For that dash represents all the time
That he spent alive on earth...
And now only those who loved him,
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own;
The cars...the house...the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard...
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real,
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile.
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy's being read
With your life's actions to rehash..
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

Any time a law enforcement officer falls, especially one with so many years of dedicated service, America loses one of the good guys. Judging by your endless number of reflections, you have many friends. I only regret that I did not have the pleasure and honor of meeting and learning something from you. Rest in Peace and God bless you Sergeant Orozco.

Policeman's Prayer to St. MICHAEL
St. Michael, Heaven's glorious Commissioner of Police, who once so neatly and successfully cleared GOD'S premises of all it's undesirables, look with kindly and professional eye on your earthly force
Give us cool heads, stout hearts, hard punches, an uncanny flair for investigation and wise judgement
Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores, strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations
You know, St. Michael, from your own experience with the devil that the policeman's lot on earth is not always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so pleased GOD, your hard knocks that so surprised the devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration
And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your Heavenly Force, where we will be as proud to guard the throne of GOD as we have been to guard the city of men. AMEN
I say this prayer everyday before I go on duty, you will now be included in my daily prayer.
