Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant Denny F. "Boe" Gallaway, Jr.

There hasn't been a day that has gone by that I don't think about you. We had a great time together back in the day; Eric, you and I. The last time we talked you on the phone were doing great and we had planned to meet up and catch up on the old times. I didnt expect for it to be this way.

Last year was a tough one for me, and it came to a halt when I heard you were gone. You left us on what would have been my 10th year wedding anniversary. You were there standing next to me 10 years ago. My bestman, my partner, my brother, my friend.

We miss you brother. Looking forward to seeing you up there. Be looking for us.

We are so sorry to here about your tragic loss of a loved one in law enforcement. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you in support. As we personally know, sometimes there is little comfort that comes from words. Keep focused as you can on the memories and joyous times for these things may bring you comfort. Rely heavily on family, friends, and other law enforcement. Honor your fallen loved one, for their sacrifice will not be forgotten.

I knew Denny when he and I were cadets at the Basic Peace Officer Academy in Alvin, Texas in Fall of 1994.

He was well liked by the other cadets for his easy going demeanor and quick wit. I salute his selfless act of valor and mourn his loss in our noble profession.
