i've been thinking about you a lot lately.....i've changed jobs, went south of the border.. boy I've got big shoes to fill......I told them I cant do it like you did, but at least I get to be a part of another program that you put together... you are on their minds, we talk about you everyday.....that feels good to do......it's also good to see your pictures hanging on the wall in the office & at the courthouse.
I was issued your old car....so I ride around and think "what would Boe do?".so I smoke some cigars and turn the "bait" up a little louder on the radio..........

HEY BOE YOU KNOW I HAVE TO SCREAM AT YOU WHILE I WRITE BUT YOU KNOW SOMEHOW I BELIEVE YOUR SMILING RIGHT NOW JUST BECAUSE I AM TYPING IN ALL CAPS. I KNOW ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I HAVE WROTE YOU ANYTHING BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT I HAVE NOT THOUGHT ABOUT YOU ALL THE TIME. SOMETIMES I GETTHE FEELING THAT PEOPLE GET TIRED OF ME TALKING ABOUT YOU BUT WE ALL KNOW WHAT THEY CAN DO WITH THAT THINKING. BROKE A DRY SPELL THE OTHER DAY I GOT THREE POUNDS OFF AN OLD GIRL COMING FROM HOUSTON IT WAS NOT A WHOLE LOT BUT BETTER THAN WHAT I HAVE BEEN FINDING. SURE DO MISS YOU AND IT IS HARD TO GET USED TO NEW PARTNERS SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN GONE ITS NOT THAT THEY COULD NOT DO THE JOB I GUESS ITS BECAUSE I WOULD RATHER BE WORKING WITH YOU, HAD NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT THEN WHEN YOU AND ERIC HAD MY BACK. YOU KNOW I LOOK BACK IT IS AMAZING HOW MANY TIMES WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HURT AND EVERYTHING TURNED OUT JUST FINE. WELL GOT TO SIGN OFF FOR NOW WE ARE STILL TRYING TO FILL THOSE SHOES YOU LEFT I JUST DONT THINK THEY WILL EVER BE FILLED. LOVE YA BROTHER

Still hard for me to believe that your gone. I have never met another human being who could bring a smile to my face so fast. All I have to do is go back to Polk County to be near you. Everybody still acts like you when they are joking around. You have left a mark like none other...just the other day I had a tough guy on the car and before I knew it I had "checked him for weapons" just like you taught me! I see your family time to time and little Boe is growing up fast. I'll see you when I get there......Love you brother

Well Boe its National Police week, I got a magazine the other day with your name in it, so I put it in the box of things that belonged to you. I sure do miss you. This department just isn't the same. I keep hoping things will get better and things will be like they use to be, but I don't think thats possible. You were the epitome of law enforcment and nobody else can hold a candle. Its sad to watch them even try.

I am humbled by your actions and the life you lead. It is obvious by the reflections left here you were loved and respected both on and off the job. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten by anyone who knew you or anyone who comes to this site. God bless those you left behind.

Hey big brother, it has been a year since I left a message. HAPPY BIRTHADAY!!! It's not because I haven't thought of you or even been to this site, I visit this site at least one to two times a week. I miss you so much, and each day DOESN'T get easier without you. Keith got a tattoo that has a pit bull on it in memory of you. The pit bull looks like Bandit. Keith is getting married in September, can you believe our baby brother (that is bigger then both of us) is getting married. I am proud of him he is doing so good as you can see that. Dad is still down as I know you can see. Please be there for him this coming week he really needs all of us pulling for him. Love Ya....

I was looking for someone else who drowned when I
came across your name. Wow, I can't believe the enthusiasm you had for your job when your co-workers
don't even look forward to their work as much with you
not there. I can imagaine how devastated your family must be. I only read one reflection here that said you accepted the Lord recently, but I guess one reflection is better than none. Reminds me of trooper Jenks from TN. He had only been a Christian for 3 months before his time was up. We never know and must prepare for
eternity now. " I am the way, the truth and the life and no
one comes to the Father except thru me", said Jesus. I
guess we better take heed and make that decision today for that is all we are promised. I am overwhelmed by your sacrifice and the love others have
shown towards you. I look forward to meeting you one
day. I hope your friends and family will trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and be there, too.

Hey bro, I've looked at this thing so many times but could never really leave anything on it. Well it's been awhile since anybody has written you anything so I just wanted to make sure you knew that we didn't forget about you. I think about you all the time and just wanted to let you know that when I'm getting discouraged with school and everything that I know you're right there on my shoulder pushing me forward. Ok, well I think I'm gonna come visit you today or tomorrow. Until then, I love ya and miss you so much man.

Hey Boe, I miss you so much. Just wanted to let you know it want be to long and I'll be coming home to see you. I love you Boe, and want thank you for watching over me and all your other brothers. We all love and miss you so much, Police work just doesn't hold the same attraction or mean what it use to mean to me. I think I'm ready to come be with you Boe, the old crew we had is busted up and spread out. I came to the memorial but couldn't bring myself to be in the group. I stayed in back corner and waited for everyone to leave so I could talk to you alone, you know the way we usually did. Just remember what I ask you, and know that I'll be there soon, Love ya, Big Country...

Hey Boe... I was actually just thinking about you. Funny how time seems to fly by. It has been over a year since you left, and it still seems like it isn't really true. Jason really misses you. He still can't even talk about it with me. I think it hurt him worse than he wants to say. You meant a lot to him. We miss you... everyone around here does. You're in better place, at least we know that.

My thoughts are with your family on this first anniversary of your end of watch. You have not been forgotten as your loved ones think of you every hour of every day and the Blue Family will never let you be forgotten. You are a true hero and heroes never die. Keep watch over your loved ones, especially on this day when their hearts will be the heaviest.

Hey brother we finally set your marker today and you would be proud of it. Allot of the guys showed up to assist or just to mainly hang out and visit, kinda like the get togethers you used to get going. A year has passed and I feel like you have just left us yesterday. You know the guys they did not cut you any slack and every once in a while one of the guys would show some blood and the sharks would swarm. I find some comfort working some days when I get a chance to work with some of the old crew like Charlie and the guys but it's just not the same. It's funny it was easier to poke fun and argue with you in person than it is typing this small letter. Main thing is man you are missed in the Polk County Law Enforcement community and missed greatly by your brothers you have left behind. love ya brother talk at you later.

Boe its been tough the last couple of weeks knowing that the one year mark is approaching. I still remember all the things you got me into while we worked together and still remind others of all the good times we had. I miss you not being there for me and your support, the job is just not the same without you.

Dear Boe, I sit here today for the first time being able to do this. Little buddy, me and you had some great times together. I remember your very first disturbance call was on Mack T.in Onalaska, and I was your backup. You kinda looked suprised at how well me and Mack played together. It didn't take but one time for you to figure out how the game was to be played. I remember talking you into applying at the Sheriff's Office and how glad I was when you got hired on. It you only better with each passing day. I remember when you first came to the S.O., me and Reggie pulled every joke in the book on you, and you took it all in stride and didn't forget a thing. You became quite a prankster and delt out your form of revenge. What a great sense of humor you had. Man you don't know how bad I miss you, I wore my mourning badge for month's after you passed. I just didn't want to let you go, I still don't. Sometimes when I'm patrol I'll see or hear something that reminds me of you and I break down and cry, God I miss you Boe. I remember when things got bad for me at the Sheriff's Office, you and Reggie were the only one's from the S.O. to come check on me. Trooper Ross Cox and Trooper Darwon Evans were the other two. I wish so many times that I could have convinced you to come to work for me when I was chief in Onalaska, and that maybe you would still be here. I can only figure that God had a need in Heaven for you. I don't know what it could be, but he couldn't have picked a better MAN, OFFICER, PARTNER, DAD, HUSBAND AND FRIEND. Boe I need you to continue to watch over me and the other Officers down here. You know just how bad it can be sometimes. I remember when you came out to stay with me in MarbleFalls, and we would sit and talk about times past. The day you past will forever be etched into my mind. I screamed, I cried, I begged God to give you back. The heaviness that surrounded the Officers at the funeral home when they brought you in was almost unbearable. You were more than just my friend and partner, Boe you had became a part of me. Only a very few know the type of friendship we had, you will forever be in my heart and mind, I love you brother. There is hole in the "THIN BLUE LINE" the hole will be filled by another, But you can never be replaced. I know this sounds like a lot of rambling Boe, but you know how much I always liked to talk. It's was astounding to see how many peoples lives you had touched by number of people at the funeral and those linning the highways to pay there respects to you. It makes me very proud to have served with you and to have been known as one of your friends. I will Love you forever Boe, and I'll see you on the other side my friend, Big D.

Boe, I am proud to have served with you. I miss your sense of humor and what you brought to the job everyday. I am reminded everyday of the dedication you had to the job. I only wish that the job would have been as dedicated to you as you were to it. I'll see you again, but not yet.
