On Sunday September 11th we were holding hands walking out of publix on Barrett Parkway. I looked down at the newspaper and read the front page and I said, "What a horrible day that was." Without a second to think you turned to me and said,"We should always remember those people who died, and those who died saving their lives." God, if I only knew..(2DAYS LATER) Thank god I told you I loved you during our lunch break at Johnny's BBQ on Sept 13th. Everyday I suit up and i remember you. I look in the mirror and the reflection is clear as to why I do this.
YOU ARE THE BEST...AND ILL NEVER FORGET YOU.... MICHAEL

Tara, I never knew you, but am deeply sorrowful that you died so young and in such a manner. How could such a thing happen? Surely this was not an "accident" but, rather, a totally irresponsible action by someone who should have known better. And now you are gone from us forever. I can only send my sincere condolences to your family and friends. Your spirit will live in the hearts of those whom you touched. May you rest in peace, and may such a thing NEVER happen again.

Dear Frank and Renee, It is with great sadness that I read about the sensless loss you have experienced. As a veteran Law Enforcement Officer and long-term Firearms Instructor, I feel as though I too have suffered a great loss as well.Your daughter must have been a teriffic person. My wife and I lost our 16 year old son in a sensless auto accident three years ago and I can relate to how you feel. I just wanted to try to encourage you by saying that things will never be the same, but you will find a new sense of normal with time. I would suggest that you read the book, "A Decembered Grief." It help my wife and I greatly. One last thing, don't let anyone tell you how to grieve! It is the most unique emotion we have and there is no right or wrong way to grieve. You just deal with it the way you feel is right for you. You and your family will be in my prayers.
Respectfully,

I just finished reading the "news story" on what really happened to you. I have been in this job for 19 years and i have never heard of such training. This horrible thing should have never happened to you, it should never happen to anyone. I just hope the proper steps were taken so that it will NEVER happen again. I wish for your eternal peace and i hope that the family and co-workers finds the strenght to carry on knowing one day they will be reunited. It is impossible for me to say anything positve about the one responsible so i will say i hope he is NEVER in a teaching position again. God Bless you Officer Drummond.

I do not agree with the grand jury's outcome. I will always love you and there will always be a very special part of me that left with you. Let man decide whats right or wrong on earth. God will decide the truth one day. He can shake in his boots waiting on that day. Until then, enjoy heaven and i'll see you when gods ready for me. Love, Michael

Tara,
Oh how I miss you, the way we laughed about everything. It still don't seem real to me! We still hang out every weekend, but I still look for you to pull up. I must say Thank You for giving me the chance to really get to know you! You are one special person that I will never forget! We always laughed about the first time we met. I took one look at you and wondered why you would be hanging out with us. You came in all dressed up and we was just getting off work. I thought to myself what a snob! Boy, was I wrong. You can never judge a book by it's cover!:) You touch my heart, and the heart of so many others. You are such an awesome person. It's still not the same. We have been to the Waffle House once since then, but it's not the same. Tara just know that all of the girls love you and miss you very much. God bless you and your family!
Love~

Tara,
Just wanted to say I miss you. These past few month's have been hard without my best friend. I still pick up the phone to call you all the time. I had a bad day today and I don't have you to come over and watch Law and Order with me and make me laugh. I miss that time we spent together so much. I love you,

Tara, there was so much left unsaid. They put your picture on the wall at the kennesaw police station. Class 219 is getting together this Friday and were going out, and you will be sorely missed. It was not luck falling in love with you, it was a blessing. I am so thankful for every second we had together. I can still here some of the things you said from time to time. Keep your eye on us Tara, it seems this battle between good and evil is getting worse everyday. You believed that love and mercy still existed in this world. Thats what made you so special coming into this line of work. Sorry if what i'm saying is running together. I just miss you really bad and i'm reaching out for you again........ Michael Gloyd

As I near the end of my law enforcement career, it is a comfort to know that when I finally pass over to the other side, you will be there to guide and comfort me and other fellow officers.
I know that the Lord chose you especially to be there for us!

We were walking along the ocean,
Together hand in hand,
When I stopped to write I love you in the sand,
And when I looked up you were standing
Ten miles at sea,
And in a sweat
I woke up from that crazy dream,
As I reached for you in the morning light,
It was just your pillow,
I clung to so tight,
For a minute there,
I thought it was you,
For a minute there,
My prayers had finally come true,
For a minute there,
I began to live,
What I wouldn't give, for a minute there,
Five O' Clock on Friday,
Sitting at a light,
When this angel walked right by me,
On my right,
And the cars all started honking,
As my feet hit the ground,
And though I chased and called,
You never turned around,
Oh, the walk, the hair, the perfume was the same,
How I wished she would have answered to your name,
Tonight the stars in heaven,
Are as bright as they can be,
And I swear one of them,
Is winking down at me,
What I wouldn't give,
How i'd love to live,
For just a minute there,
I miss you Tara, m.g.
