Yesterday, three of my comrades and I saluted the California flag as it was lowered to half staff in your honor. The flag had been flying over the California State Capitol building. The flag was then brought down. Your family will receive it soon. Thank you for your sacrifice.

I visit this site often with the hopes that its list will not get longer. When I see a new name on the list my heart drops to the floor knowing that another Father, Mother, Son, Daughter, etc.. has given their life in the line of duty. It continually brings tears to my eyes when I read the personal reflections that are left by the fallen Officer's Family and Friends. I hope you can rest easy knowing that this brave HERO is watching over us from his place in Heaven. He served with honor and will never be forgotten. Rest Easy Trooper Carthron . We will truly miss you. God Bless you and your Family.

As a Law Enforcement officer, I check this site every two to three days. My hope is to see that "we", have not lost any of our brothers and sisters. But this is not what happens. I am proud of my profession and know that all who protect and serve, are proud to do what "we" chose for our careers. God bless you Trooper Carthron and your great agency.
