I visit this site often with the hopes that its list will not get longer. When I see a new name on the list my heart drops to the floor knowing that another Father, Mother, Son, Daughter, etc.. has given their life in the line of duty. It continually brings tears to my eyes when I read the personal reflections that are left by the fallen Officer's Family and Friends. I hope you can rest easy knowing that this brave HERO is watching over us from his place in Heaven. He served with honor and will never be forgotten. Rest Easy Officer Rios . We will truly miss you. God Bless you and your Family.

I knew and worked with Ray when he was with the Cochise County Sheriffs Dept.
He was a fine officer and good friend.
He was very good at whatever he did, and he loved doing what he did best, being a Police Officer.
He will always be a special person to me and he will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family, may God bless them all.
Rest easy Hero, and keep an eye on us from up there.

Ray, My prayers go out to your family. you will always be in my heart and prayers as well. Sitting here thinking of the good times we had when we worked side by side in the streets makes me sad. I thought I would never see the day that you would no longer be out in the streets with us. I don't feer though, because I know the LORD called upon you to fight a more important battle beside him. you will always be in our prayers and our hearts. I know that form above you will watch over us when we go out to do what you did best. God bless; Rest in Peace.

I currently work with juveniles and have suffered heart problems. Both can be challenging. I pray for peace and comfort for Ramon's wife and children and strength for his fellow officers. This is truly a sad day for all of us in the law enforcement community.

To have loved one, then lost,
is still better than to have never been so blessed.
To have been enriched by one's cheerfulness,
their memory lingers on.
Their hopes and ideals in the crevices of your mind,
their wisdom is there when you need it.
Whatever was good and noble within your loved one,
they still live through you.
May their life have had purpose and meaning
by keeping their good seed alive.
Only then can we truly say,
"In Loving Memory."
~~~
God be with you and yours
through this difficult time.
Ray, I worked side by side with you on these streets, and in the patrol vehicle. I never thought I would ever see the day in which we say good bye other than at the end of shift. It is really painful to sit here and remember all the good times we had during your stay with us here with the douglas police department, but the good lord has called upon you to carry on with a more important battle. Go on and fulfill your duties beside him, and watch over us, as we will watch for your family. GOD BLESS; REST IN PEACE BROTHER!
