Reflections for Police Officer Ramon Molina Rios, Jr.
Officer Rios,
Last night we gathered in our state's capitol to honor you and other fallen AZ Officers. I met your family, some how finding the words to tell them how sorry I feel didn't come easy, but they say parents live on through their children. So in that sir, may you rest in peace and never be forgotten.

Christy and the kids,
I have only met you recently and we live so far away...I think of all of you often and hope that time is healing you and helping you find a brighter place. I know you have a few big events coming up this following month and I will be there for any of you if you need it. Losing a loved one in the line of duty is very hard. We have all said, "Be safe" when our loved one left for work and the countless prayers thanking God for bringing them home safely...if only this could still be said. I understand your pain and I wish I could erase if for you...I am sure you all have a guardian angel now, as does my family, and Ray is never far from your hearts. That is what keeps his memory alive. God bless you all.

Que paso Dad? Well like the boys said its been 7 months and although time goes by fast it seems as if it were just yesterday. So many things are happening in our lives and we wish you were here to talk to and ask for your opinion.I still want to pick up the phone and call you when something happens at school or during my internship as you know Im working on now...Laura is having a hard time getting back to the media right now, dad she misses you so much and although I know you and her had a great strong relationship that no one ever could imagine having with a dad and a daughter(since she was always the consentida)but we both miss you so much..you know the kind of relationship you and I had was more laughter as I laughed hard at your silly mistakes.I know you look down on us all the time but it still isnt the same. We miss you and love you dearly. Our trip to Washington will be overwhelming but good for us esp. the boys they are having a hard time right now and as much as the D.P.D. says they will be here for them they cant be there enough and they will NEVER be you...Take Care Dad.We miss you and love you....our angel....our hero....
Your loving daughters..Laura, Aileen Rios...daughters of Our Hero...Ramon (Ray)Rios D.P.D. #520 E.O.W. 9/04/05

Dad....its been 7 months since you left us and everyday it gets harder and harder...we miss you even more than the day before. Everynight as we say our prayers we pray that the heartache subsides a bit but it doesnt, Dad it only gets worse....Aaron and I both know you watch over us constantly and that is what keeps us going but we want to just have one more time to see you and laugh with you and talk to you and tell you what is on our minds.I am so glad the movie theater closed right after you died because the memories there would be too much for us... Dad....we love you so much and we are so proud of you all the time. We once heard someone tell us that losing you was like losing a thumb....you know you need it but you eventually learn to live without it and you never forget what it was like to have had it and you never stop wishing you had it again....You are our HERO and we can hardly wait to honor you in Washington as you so lovingly deserve Dad. It seems Douglas is back to normal and as if they forgot you existed but our hearts will never forget you...just as we breathe air our hearts cry out for you....You will always be in our hearts and souls...Love, Xavi(Buddy)and Aaron (Thumper)

FOREVER IN ETERNITY
My best friend died today
He closed his eyes and slipped away
His spirit soared to the heaven above
the only man ever, I'd given my love.
I went home wanting to die,
Clutching my heart I started to cry
Oh Lord help me through this day
Father in heaven show me the way.
Dear child, the Lord said to me,
For you a way there will always be
So cherish all your memories now
And when it's time I'll show you how.
I begged the Lord, Oh let me come
And be with Ray as we were one
And I alone feel torn apart
As anguish tears my broken heart.
Again the Lord he said to me
Each life I give must want to be
Each child of mine in the earth below
Has a purpose for being before they can go.
And only I alone can say
The time and place or even the day
When Ray and you will finally be
Forever in ETERNITY.....
Oh Ray I can only wait and hope....
I miss you soooo....

Our thoughts and prayers go to you, your family, friends, and coworkers. The loss of a brother or sister behind the badge shakes the very foundations of our society. We have felt this in our own family too many times and our tears flow with your's.
A word for comfort and hope.

Daddy...what can I say? You have always been such a good dad. Not once have you EVER let us down. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say the things I never got a chance to. First, and foremost, I want to say thank you so much for all the love and support you gave us all those years...in your eyes, we did no wrong! I know we were your #1 reason for living. Not only were you and mom our #1 fans, but you seemed to always be there for us. Remember the hard time I would have trying to convince you to take vacation days to go with me on my softball tournaments? I know you never regreted doing so! I don't want to forget the good times we had, dad, and there are SOOOO many. I forgive you dad!! I never got the chance to forgive you when you asked for it...yes, we had our rough times but I don't want that defeat our good times. We know that you are still with us and its hard without you here physically, "Mr. Fix-it". Well, lastly I'd like to ask YOU for forgiveness...I know there's no use looking back, but please forgive me!! Dad...you are always going to be that star that is "chining" on me...Your "punkins" will make you proud! I can't wait to see you again in heaven...until then...rest in peace daddy...you deserve it!! I love you daddy...no regrets!!
To all those law enforcement officials: I just want to thank you for everything you have done for your communities. If it weren't for people like you, we'd be lost! Always remember that my dad tried to make our community a safe place to grow up, and hopefully you too will keep my dad's mission going. Thank you for your kind words and prayers. May God bless you and keep you and your families safe. Go home and tell your family EVERYDAY that you love them...Thank you again!

dad..our dad would be so proud to see all the love and concern of all his family and friends on this website. Our dad was a very quiet and respectable man but in no way did we ever expect all these words of encouragement. From the bottom of our hearts we wish to thank you and send our blessings to all of you especially those still in law enforcement, to those who lost loved ones our hearts bind as one for the grief and loss we all share. Our dad was a SUPER dad and we loved him so much and now hes gone but everytime we look outside we see a small reminder of him and know that he will never leave us alone. Dad will always be in our hearts and soul. Once again thank you and god bless you all.
Love, Laura, Aileen, Xavier & Aaron Rios...by the way dad we have a football game tonight...think you can help us win?????
