How do you deal with losing a fellow police officer and one of the greatest friends that you've known almost your whole life. Daniel you inspired & touched my life in so many different ways. I'm a better person because of you. I reflect on our families going to the same church, you playing jesus in the church Christmas pagent & your family living in the house just down the road from my family. Then meeting back up with each other when you became a reserve officer with FPD. You coming in and riding, us trying to get in to something, and comparing who had the shiniest boots. Our off time going out and just being good ol' county boys and being so proud when you became a HPD officer. You inspiered me with you great outlook on life even when times got tuff, With the way you treated everybody. You've changed my life by showing me a better outlook on life, turning me around from going down the wrong road when life got tuff and being the match maker introducing me to the love of my life (You always said your aunt Dorothy and I would make a great couple and we are) and sharing the word of God with me, getting back into church and on the right track. You've inspirered me once again by showing me what an inpact a great person can have on so many lives just look how you've been honored bro. To all the great memories you gave me, to tears of sadnees and joy we shared, to trouble we've gotten into and out of, to the wonderful friendship we've shared I say Thamks! I love you brother and miss you but will never be able to forget you. So go be with Sterling, Watch over me from time to time. Love ya bro!

Kelso as I sit here tring to find the words to describe to you how I feel inside I continue to find nothing but emptyness,a feeling that all of us will have for some time to come.Their is not a day that has went by since your leaving that we havent spoke of you, laughed of you and even cried of you.I know your up their saying yall dont have to do all that for me, cause thats how you were, but we miss you brother and its hard.So as you and lil Sterlin race through the streets of Heaven just remember you will never be forgotten.GOD BLESS your friend "THE THUMB".

I have no doubt Officer Golden has made this a better world in his short life-time. You always felt better when you were around him. I will miss his heavy country accent on the police radio like saying "yeller" for the color yellow and "winder" for window. But what I will miss most is Officer's Daniel sincere love he showed towards people. He got into Law Enforcement because he wanted to serve. Officer Golden has humble has he was, would deny being a Hero, but a Hero is who Officer Golden is.

I attended Officer Golden's funeral this past week and I would like to let every one know that the Huntsville Police Department lost as great officer. This was evident by the show od HPD Police Officers and their families who attended. Officer Golden was sent to the lord with the best honors a Policeman could ask for. I have never seen so many patrol cars in a funeral in my life. I would like to commend the Huntsville Police Department for a job well done in sending this officer to the lord in the style they did. It was remarkable and Thank You.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home agian. No farwell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it and only GOD knows why. Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow, what it meant to lose someone like you no one can ever know. But now, we know you want us to mourn you no more, to remeber all the happy times and the ones life has i store. Since YOULL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, we pledge to you today, a hallowwed place within our hearts is where you'll always stay. -Author unknown- May you live on forever in the hearts of all you knew, respected and loved you!! God's love and Peace be with ALL your family.

Although I did not know Officer Golden
I have known many like him and the
refelctions left by family, friends co-
workers & ordinary citzens tell the
same thoughts of sadness ,fond memories and grief of his loss as those
who have gone before him. Officer Golden will be in good company with his brother officers and one day we will all be reunited.

There are many thoughts and memories that run through my head when I think of "Kelso", but one stands first everytime. It is a perfect example of the incredible personality of Daniel Golden. I was walking out of the precinct the day before he was killed. Daniel was on the way in. I said "Hey man, its good to see ya". Daniel stopped in mid-stride as he walked toward the door. He immediatly turned to walk in my direction as he said "No man, it sure is good to see you". He went out of his way to continue to me as I was about to get into my patrol car. He shook my hand and said "be careful out there". He never hesitated to go out of his way for someone else, even if it was only to shake their hand. I will miss "kelso" like many others. Earth has lost such a wonderful person. I guess heaven just couldn't wait on him any longer.

I visit this site often with the hopes that its list will not get longer. When I see a new name on the list my heart drops to the floor knowing that another Father, Mother, Son, Daughter, etc.. has given their life in the line of duty. It continually brings tears to my eyes when I read the personal reflections that are left by the fallen Officer's Family and Friends. I hope you can rest easy knowing that this brave HERO is watching over us from his place in Heaven. He served with honor and will never be forgotten. Rest Easy Officer Golden . We will truly miss you. God Bless you and your Family.
