Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Michael Bancroft
It’s very difficult to lose such a dedicated person in life, to his faith, family, friends and profession. If you knew Mike you would already know these things. May the Lord keep watch over your family and may he keep you in his arms. You will be truly missed.

I had the privledge of being Michael's partner for a few months when we worked at Limestone County Sheriff Department. I was still fairly new with only a years experience. In the short time I was partners with Mike I learned more about law enforcement, pride in job well done, courage, and the brotherhood of officers than i had in the previous year. As many have said, his shoes cannot be filled and they are right. Michael was one to do anything for anyone. He always made you feel important and always made sure that you knew he would be there with you whether you were in a fight with a suspect or in the Chief's office because of a complaint. My thoughts prayers are with Michael's family and friends. God Bless you all. Micheal you will be missed but never forgotten. I'm thankful that i got to be your friend and partner. Rest In Peace Brother.
sincerely,
an old partner

I would like to say that I am very proud of my brother. He had a kind spirit, loved his job, and worked hard for his family. I didnt realize how many lives he touched until he passed away. If you met Micheal you would never forget him. He made everyone laugh, even the people that he was arresting. But he also had a serious side that wanted to do the best job and get as many bad people off the streets. He stood for what he belived and for that I am so honored to say that Deputy Sheriff Micheal Bancroft was my Big Brother. I love you Mike and will make sure that your kids never forget you.
