Jay it has been a while but in 1988 you were the best man at my wedding and a true friend as we worked for the Bartlett Tennessee Police Department.

I am very proud of you. You kept your dream of returning to MO and becoming a Highway Patrolman

May God Keep you and your lovely family you will be missed

Another senseless tragedy. My deepest sympathies the family and coworkers of Corporal Sampietro.

* People PLEASE slow down and pull to the farthest lane when you see police lights. It could prevent this horrible tragedy that occurs way, WAY too often. Protect our officers!!

My dear friend Jay,
Words simply can not express how I feel at this moment. It just seems like yesterday that we were roommates at the academy. I still remember you walking around with your first "SMOKEY Hat" and the pride that you showed. You are a perfect example of what the Missouri State Highway Patrol stands for and what every current trooper and future trooper should strive to be like.

It was good seeing you this past weekend at the Sikeston Rodeo. Who would have know that when we hugged on Saturday night that that would be the last time we would ever speak or see eachother? I will forever remember your last words to me when you said, " Be safe out there my friend, this as been a brutal year for us."

God bless you my friend. Rest in peace and know that your watch is over. You did an awesome job while you were with us and I will forever love and miss you.

Don't worry about the family, we will take care of them and watch over them, I promise. Rest easy my friend as I bid you your final 10-42...........

Your Friend For Life!!

My heart is heavy and sad for you because I too had to go through it but know that strength is within all of us and it takes time to come out.
