How I found this page is a long story...I was thinking of you and wanted you to know. A long time has past but you are still remembered...you have inspired so many and accomplished so much in such a short life! You are my hero...

Emily and I visited your name at the Law Enforcement Memorial. We stared at your name for what felt like a very long time before Emily said that it didn't seem real. Five years has flown by too quickly, but not to the point of forgetting a single detail of just how much fun we had together, how protected you made me feel, and just how much I adored you. I still do.

We laid 6 yellow roses over your name, each one a pledge to always remember the wonderful friendship we had together.

Craig -

What a sad anniversary today brings. Every time I see Patrolman on a mountain bike, I think to myself that should be you enjoying the career you worked so hard to attain. You will never be forgotten and are deeply missed.

PS - Thought you'd enjoy hearing that after all these years your turtle, Merlin, is still going strong and is now under the loving care of your four year old cousin.

Your Loving Aunt

I know I missed this by a day but I thought of you all yesterday while going through my routine. Because of you Im starting my 2L year in 2 weeks...wish I could be sharing that experience with you now...and of course, my son, who you'll never get to meet. I cant believe its been 4 years now... still thinking of you man.

Hey Jim - you could've gotten on DC101 this morning. They were looking for cops to call in about a shooting this morning in Sursum Corda, and they were talking about the freaks at anime conventions....if you were still around, I bet you'd know a little about both!

But seriously, it was hard walking down K street and not seeing your face in the crowd of blue. I know if you were still here, you'd be on scene now even if you weren't assigned there anymore. Can't believe it's been three years since you went down. Wish we'd gotten to talk again before it happened.

Anyway, take care buddy. Hope to see you again someday.....

On the 3rd anniversary of Officer McBride's death, we honored his service in our patrol briefing by reading his entry from ODMP. Each day, we honor one fallen officer on the anniversary of their death so as to keep them in our thoughts, and also to remind us of the dangers inherent in our job. Officer McBride is not forgotten.
