Although 96 years have passed since you made your supreme sacrifice to your community, please know that you are not forgotten. I am sure that your community grieved for your loss when you lost your life after being deputized in the frontier. You have my utmost respect for your bravery in protecting the citizens of Texas while attempting to retrieve their property. May you continue to rest in peace.
