I just viewed the photos from your
funeral service. Although this happens much too frequently, each
one is equally sad and heartrending.
You were so young and had so many
unfulfilled dreams and life experiences ahead of you. But you did meet your goal of being a Flint Police Officer and I know that brought you much joy. There is an emptiness now that no one can fill, but Jesus Christ is our Healer and we beseech Him now for restoration and forgiveness.
My heart goes out to everyone who
loved and cared about you, but
especially your fiancee and your
families, both at home and at work.

Owen,
Years ago I knew you well and looking back everyone knew you would go far. You were the type that could talk to anyone and get a laugh just as easily, I am sure that ability served you well in your short career. The city of Flint will miss you and so will everyone who ever knew you, you are person who truly will never be forgotten.

Today my fellow officers and I had the honor to pay our last respects to you. Even though we have never meet, we both share a fellowship that not many people can understand. Not many people can say that they were able to do what they love, not many people have been able to obtain their personal dreams and goals, but you did. God bless you, your family, friends, and Flint PD. Take care up there and I am thankfull everyone in the law enforcement community has another angel to keep watch over us.
Your brother in blue,
Kevin

Thank you Owen, for all your hard work and dedication. You did, for very little, what many will not do for our City for much more. Thank you for your optimism and pride. You will be remembered always.

Owen, I never met you but your father was my history teacher in High school and one of the best teachers I had. He talked of you often, if only to stir up the old Carman-Ainsworth/Powers rivalry. He was very proud of you and I know that your loss will touch not only you family but also those of us who your family have reached out to as well. Rest in Peace.

Brother Fisher. ALthough we worked across the street from each other and walked the same high school halls,I never met you. And for that I am truly sorry! I've heard of your honor and integrity. I hope you will watch over me and all your fellow bothers and sisters. God bless you and your family.
