I had the pleasure of working with Todd...As a new trooper I had to call on Todd several times to know a proceedure and what to do. On or Off duty he'd always answer the phone with a "Hey Rob" and help me out. As Troopers we don't get to work side by side or see each other everyday. He'll always be by my side. I now know how it is to lose a friend, collegue and a brother....It hurts. Todd...Thanks for what you taught me. You'll never be forgotten...You made it HOME.

Todd and Family... God please place your hand upon this family during this troubled time. Although Todd's new life is just begining, the Kingdom of Heaven is open to all of us who believe. As for us to remember, God forgave those who crucified him, let us do your will as well. Im applying for the Kentucky State Police and those like Todd will forever be in my thoughts and prayers upon my walk with Jesus.

“REMEMBER ME”
Law enforcement officers are, indeed, a special breed of people. Ask anyone on the street and they will tell you that they would not have our jobs for anything in the world. It takes something special to do what we do and at the same time be able to even contemplate retirement. We try to be optimists. Unfortunately, there are a few of us who will never make that date with retirement. By the very nature of our job, we are at risk everyday of losing our lives, either at the hand of some deranged individual or in some other situation that we, by virtue of our occupation, may be unable to avoid. Some people have recognized the hazardous duties we involve ourselves in, the risks we take, and the pride we take in accomplishing that job. There is National Law Enforcement Week, dedicated to us who gladly accept the responsibility of protecting the citizens in our respective jurisdictions. National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Day is dedicated to those who gave their lives in the line of duty. These are but a two examples of remembrances specifically for law enforcement personnel. Remembrances that come but once a year. We should remind fellow officers of another type of remembrance, one that will last a lifetime. Sooner or later, a doctor will pronounce us dead. It is inevitable. Regardless of whatever happens, death is the end we will all have to face.

To Trooper Larkins family, may you find peace in knowing that he is in a far better place...and that his watch here is over. We that remain will continue in his stead. Todd, Protect And Serve well in Heaven, as you unselfishly have here. 10-7 and 10-42 my brother...
“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

May God Bless Todd's family...........Nothing more need be said except we grieve for the loss of a brother and fallen comrade. But our loss pales in comparison to the loss of a father.......to the loss of a husband. May comfort in some way find Todd's family, his friends, and all those whom his life touched. While our hearts swell with anger over yet another senseless tragedy, let us fondly remember Todd and find comfort where we can. May God bless Todd's family and his brothers & sisters with Tennessee Highway Patrol. God speed Brother........

I NEVER HAD THE HONOR OF MEETING YOU, ON EARTH, BUT I LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU IN HEAVEN.
THE TROOPER STOOD AND FACED HIS GOD WHICH MUST ALWAYS COME TO PASS. HE HOPED HIS SHOES WERE SHINING JUST AS BRIGHTLY AS HIS BRASS.
"STEP FORWARD NOW TROOPER HOW SHALL I DEAL WITH YOU" HAVE YOU ALWAYS TURNED THE OTHER CHEEK? TO MY CHURCH HAVE YOU BEEN TRUE?"
THE TROOPER SQUARED HIS SHOULDERS AND SAID, " NO LORD I GUESS I AIN'T. BECAUSE THOSE WHO CARRY BADGES CAN'T ALWAYS BE A SAINT.
I'VE HAD TO WORK MOST SUNDAYS, AND AT TIMES MY TALK WAS ROUGH, AND SOMETIMES I'VE BEEN VILOENT BECAUSE THE ROADS ARE AWFUL TOUGH.
BUT I NEVER TOOK A PENNY THAT WASN'T MINE TO KEEP, THOUGH I WORKED ALOT OF OVERTIME WHEN THE BILL GOT TO STEEP.
AND I NEVER PASSED A CRY FOR HELP, THOUGH AT TIMES I SHOOK WITH FEAR, AND SOMETIMES GOD FORGIVE ME, I'VE WEPT UNMANLY TEARS.
I KNOW I DON'T DESERVE A PLACE AMONG THE PEOPLE HERE, THEY NEVER WANTED ME AROUND EXCEPT TO CALM THEIR FEAR.
IF YOU'VE A PALCE FOR ME HERE, LORD IT NEEDN'T BE SO GRAND I NEVER EXPECTED OR HAD TOO MUCH, BUT IF YOU DON'T LORD I'LL UNDERSTAND."
THERE WAS SILENCE ALL AROUND THE THRONE WHERE THE SAINTS HAD OFTEN TROD, AS THE TROOPER WAITED QUIELTY FOR THE JUDGEMENT OF HIS GOD.
"STEP FORWARD NOW, TROOPER YOU'VE BORNE YOUR BURDENS WELL. COME WALK A BEAT ON HEAVENS STREETS YOU'VE DONE YOUR TIME IN HELL."
