Reflections for Reserve Deputy Constable Nehemiah Pickens
I miss you cousin. This hurt our family badly. And to think it’s been almost 20 years. The girls unbeknownst are thinking of new baby names for their new sibling who will arrive in March Nehemiah was a name that we were considering if it’s a boy. I then told them the story about you. You were one of the coolest cousins, husband, and dad that I’ve ever known. I love you and you are truly missed down here. I wish justice would’ve been served for you, but you know…. I hope you’re resting well

That man (the one running away not the other cop) should have been charged with manslaughter in your death, if he had just cooperated none of this would have happened

July the 6,2005 changed me and your girls lives forever. Your voice was silenced forever. Had no idea when you dropped me off to work that night and said goodbye, that it would be the very last time of me hearing your voice. It still hurts so very bad. When they silenced your voice that night i don"t know or if they even cared that they made a very big impact on our family. You are truly missed every single day. I still pray for them. GOD IS NOT SLEEP..!!!!!!!
UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. YOUR WIFE MICHELLE

10 Years has passed on since you have left the girls and I. It still seems as only yesterday. It never gets easy having to visit the cemetary. My heart is still heavy. God sees all and knows all. I still pray for closure, which i do not have as of today. The girls and I miss you so very much. Until we meet again.

Good morning sunshine, it's been along time and I still think of you daily. Wondering what would be different if you were still here. I have a lot of questions but I know you can't answer them. So much has changed and I know you would not be pleased but God has a plan for it all. I know you are in good company with Mommy and my mommy, I wonder if they have dominos up there, if so I know you have no reason to rejoin us. Love you, and miss you too.
