Hi Bill - Happy Father's Day. I hope you and Dad are celebrating. I'm going to the Barracks on Sunday to visit Dad. I wish he were here to help us through losing you, but I'm glad he was there to welcome you to the other side.I will lay a rose down next to his white stone and say a prayer of thanks for the gift God gave us in Bud. We had many happy times. You would be so proud of your children, I know they miss you. This is a hard day, say a prayer for all of us.

Sorry for the delay, but I'm just getting around to writing this. I ride for the Police Unity Tour and rode in your memory the year you were added to the wall. Your family gave me 2 t-shirts, the blue one and the green one. For the third straight year during Police Week, I wore the green one on the 14th(Emerald Society Night) and ran into some one from St. Louis who went to school with you (do not remember name). Just wanted to let you know that you are not forgotten and I will continue that tradition every year that I'm in DC.

Not a day goes past when I don't look at your picture. I miss the way things used to be, when Katie, Brendan, Sarah, Conner, Matt, and I would always be outside playing baseball or football or kickball. I miss having your presence there whenever there was a problem on the street. You will never be forgotten and always missed.

I just came from the County Police Academy graduation ceremony where the class was dedicated to your memory. As I sat there and looked at all the graduates, I could not help but remember your graduation. I had the picture of you, mom and dad at your ceremony in my wallet. You looked so young - and skinny!
