Jon God gave you many talents and you maximized them. Our God has now said to you, "Well done thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the glory of the Lord". (Matthew 25:21)

We are going to miss you. Go now and inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

I have been where you fear to go...
I have seen what you fear to see...
I have done what you fear to do...
All these things I've done for you.

I am the one you lean upon...
The one you cast your scorn upon...
The one you bring your troubles to...
All these people I've been for you.

The one you ask to stand apart...
The one you feel should have no heart...
The one you call the man in blue...
But I am human just like you.

And through the years I've come to see...
That I'm not what you ask of me...
So take this badge and take this gun...
Will you take it? Will anyone?

And when you watch a person die...
And hear a battered baby cry...
Then so you think that you can be
All those things you ask of me...?

There are no words I can express here to say how I feel about this tragedy.
I pray that the Lord will be with this family, friends and co-workers.
To know that this Offender purposely did this is more than a normal human being can understand.
We who have walked this path will keep this family in our thoughts and prayers.

Somebody killed a Policeman today,
and part of America died.
A piece of the country he swore to protect
will be buried with him at his side.

The beat that he walked was a battlefield, too,
just as if he had gone off to war.
Though the flag of our nation won't fly at half-mast,
to his name they will add a gold star.

The suspect who shot him will stand up in court,
with counsel demanding his rights;
While a young widowed mother, must work for her kids,
and spend many long, lonely nights.

Yes, someone killed a Policeman today,
maybe in your town or mine.
While we slept in comfort, behind our locked doors,
a cop put his life on the line.

Now his ghost walks the beat, on a dark city street,
and he stands by each rookie's side.
He answered the call.....of himself he gave all,
and part of America died.

Rest in Peace Brother. You have made the ultimate Sacrafice

John you were a partner with the County, a Brother with the patrol, but most of all you were my friend. We worked together, fished and hunted together. I have nothing but great memories of you. You will be deeply missed Forest and there will never be another like you. Good bye my friend. My prayers are with Susan and the rest of your family.

I can not explain the feeling I had when I saw that S.C had lost another officer. I was at Police Week in Wash. DC when I received the news. S.C has certainly had a bad month. Trooper Parker you made the ultimate sacrifice and you will never be forgotten. I know my fiancee' Deputy Joey Rodgers will be at the gates of heaven to greet you. Joey was killed in Florence County only 45 minutes from Sumter. It was very hard to know that another SC name will be added to the wall. To the family, friends and co-workers of Trooper Parker please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest in Peace Trooper Parker.
