To Anthony and his family:
I did not know you nor did I know your name until my son told me of your unfortunate accident. He never mentioned you until your untimely death. He said that not only were you a good cop, but you were a great human being who believed in fighting for the right things even if that meant putting yourself in danger. To your family, I truly want to express my sympathies and condolences to everyone who will miss Tony and will be left with a void in their hearts. I cannot sign my name or give my son's name but I can assure you that my son is grieving over Tony's death. I will pray for you and have my church pray for your family. I know that God hears prayers and I know that He will comfort you in this terrible time. Just remember the old saying I always heard as a child. " The good die young. "

I have no words to describe how I feel now knowing I will never see your wonderful smile and be able to laugh with you again. You always had a kind word to say and always knew how to make me feel good even when I was down.
I pray for your family and friends that they find strength in knowing what a great man you were and that they have you watching over them when times are hard.

Anthony,
I'm still trying to wrap mind around the reality of you not being here anymore. It's hard for me to think of you as an adult, because I keep seeing you as that guy who protected me in third grade. I guess it was just naturual that you would answer you calling in the law enforcement field. You always had something about you that was special, I'm glad that I was blessed with knowing you. The one thing that I regret is that I never got the chance to let you know how PROUD I was of you and everything that you accomplished in your life. How your legacy will inspire other children from your hometown to achieve greatness. The world is a truly a better place because of you, Anthony. I will try to live the rest of my life trying to make the world a better place because that's how you led your life. Rest in Peace my brother.

Tony was not only an outstanding officer, but a superb individual and a loving, caring husband. He'll be greatly missed not only by the department, by those countless families and individuals that he has helped, the lives that he has saved and the futures that he has helped mend, but also by those that only knew him through the kind words and loving comments of his wife. May God bless his family and friends and welcome Tony home and let him reap the benefits of Heavan that he justly deserves.
