Larry-Well, I made it. I came to the cemetery today. I didnt think it would be that hard to convince myself to go but I did. Im glad I went.

There are so many cards down at the LEC from everywhere. Your picture is all over the place too. I saw the Chief, but as usual, he was working his butt off. I dont think he sat down at all the whole time I was there. I also talked to Eric and he looked like he was doing okay too. But then again, I guess you already know that.

We have to qualify next week and I asked if Evan could go. If he comes with me dont you dare make me mess up. I will be totally embarrassed. Stop laughin at me it's rude.

Anyway, I miss ya. C ya. Me.

It's been three weeks my dear friend, yet it seems as if it were yesterday that I saw your smiling face. I wish I could turn back the clock and see you again. I will hold onto all my joyful memories of you until someday we will be laughing and talking again. But for now I will always remember you telling me to "Take Care" as you waved that wave of yours. I'm sure that with you "On Watch" just as when you were here, we will always feel your presence and your protection. "Take Care" Officer Larry Cox, we will always remember in our hearts your love and kindness. You are sadly missed by all!

Sorrow never as deep, pain never so cutting as the community experienced at the passing of our beloved Officer Cox. Larry was someone who you felt you knew all your life. He was genuine, caring, open, accepting, honest. No wonder our kids loved him. RIP, Brother. You are sorely missed.

I worked with Larry for two years at Doctors Hospital in security. He was just the greatest, He was always smiling and his smile was so infectious. I am having a hard time with his passing, especially with the circumstances. He was my friend, and I will never forget him. My wife and I are deeply greived by his passing at such a young age, with so much to offer. He was one of a kind, so we should feel so fortunate to have had him, and known him. God Bless You My Friend. We will never forget you.

I never knew officer Cox personally, but because he made the streets safer for my family and I- I honor this fallen hero for all he has done for everyone, even people he never met. My little four year old girl was very upset to think someone killed someone else's daddy. Death is hard to explain to a child. I'm glad he is behind bars-thats where animals needs to be. Rest in peace dear Larry!! Thanks for everything you gave, including your life.

I THINK I MIGHT COME DOWN TO SEE YA NEXT WEEK SOMETIME SO WATCH FOR ME AND HELP ME TO GET THERE, KAY? IM NOT SURE IF I CAN MAKE IT THERE OR NOT. ITS STILL KIND OF HARD TO ACCEPT, YA KNOW?

JUST LOOK OVER ALL OF US AND WE WILL KEEP YOU IN OUR PRAYERS.

I did not know Larry personally, but know many of the men and women of his "family". Through them I feel as if I did know this wonderful man. For someone to touch so many lives, it is very apparent that he was one of a kind. Thank you Officer Cox for all that you gave.

Larry I guess we owe you a great big thanks. Thanks for helping us find the scumbag. Now we just have to make it through the red tape of it all.

I knew that you were out and about on Sunday. I knew in my heart that you were on the bumper of the "24" car and helped him get and stay in the front of the pack. I know you are responsible for that one. I couldnt wait to call your dad and tell him. I think he thought that too. He humored me anyway and let me think he thought it even if he didnt.

Its hard to believe that it has been almost 2 weeks since that Thursday. Oh, and by the way did you have something to do with the rainbow in the sky Tuesday? I figured that you put that up there just because you were planning on the "Rainbow Warrior" winning the race. I just figured that you were telling us in advance.

Anyway, I miss ya and you keep a close eye on all of us we are counting on you. You are very missed and thought about everyday but so many people. You were very special to all of us. Im just sorry that we didnt tell ya before now.

Miss Ya. C ya. Me.

Another of Ohio's finest struck down. The fourth in less than a year. You are a true hero and your legacy is well established through your work with the DARE program. Rest in peace and your family as well as the officers of the Chillicothe Police Department will remain in my prayers.

There was never a time that I left Larrys presence with out a smile. He always spoke of the good of others and his desire to find it. He loved children and always found the positive in all of them. His dedications were to his family and to his job. Larry~~ you will forever bring a smile to my face. You were an angel to our community and I know that you will continue to bring guidance to those you taught and served. We miss and love you.

Larry,
I know from your funeral what an amazing man you were. I had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with your family. They are amazing, gracious people. I pray for them and think of them everyday since the funeral.

I made a promise the day that Brandy died that I would honor him in every way that I could. Spending time with new survivors is one of the ways that I honor him. I make a promise to you that we will help your family, friends, and co-workers in this journey and we will not let them walk alone in their pain.

Thank you for your service and the ultimate sacrifice that you made. You were definatley one of the finest. The tribute your fellow officers, family, and community gave to you more than proved that you were a legacy in your community and you touched many lives with your caring and compassionate manner. I pray that your department finds the coward that did this and gives him the ultimate justice that he deserves.

Give Bran one of your signature waves for me. He will give you back a knew slapping laugh and smile that you will never forget.

Upon the markers of their graves
Our heroes etched in names we save
For all the life they gave with pride
To keep the peace within life's stride

To honor serve and do their best
To keep us safe through any quest
They gave up what was theirs to share
Their spirits shall be always near

No fear within the hearts and minds
To keep us safe within our times
The glory that is ours to see
Those special hearts of bravery

They have walked where no man dare
Their lives in danger with no care
For they have given all they could
For their courage we have stood

In awe of every one who gave
His life for others who they saved
So we will know their contribution
Their firm resolve and resolution

For those they left with hearts so broken
In every whispered word that's spoken
We bow our heads in confirmation
In every word life's revelation

Those who stand within their shoes
Will follow courage as they choose
And give to all the best they had
They carry on with spirits glad

We will know that they walked through
With colors bright and hearts so true
No Island stands alone they say
For heroes they are born this way

Protecting those with loyalty
A glimpse of so much royalty
Within the years of courage bound
These officers have earned their crown

Upon the earth we shall remember
The special goals and all their thunder
That proves a hero came our way
Who left their hearts on earth to stay.
