Toribio and family,
Thanks for you service to your city, county and to the great state of Texas. You are the same age that I started out in law enforcement. Too you to have fallen--but you are not forgotten and its good to see your family still honors you.

Toribio Rodriguez was my father's uncle. His sister, Amada Rodriguez Perez, was my father's mother. My father was Felipe R. Perez. All residents of Brownsville. There is a picture of Toribio that a cousin of mine has and which I will try to get to the police dept. His name should have a face.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 97th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
You were robbed of your life at such a young age and at the very beginning of your career. How devastated your
family must have meant. Rest In Peace
