Son, time has passed as it has a way of doing. Time will never erase the pain or heartache felt by all of us with your death. Hayden has grown so much as I am sure you are watching. He is such a credit to you and your love for hm. I finally looked at all these reflections for you after all these years. It was just too hard to read about you and the people you touched. I have finally stopped thinking the phone call is from you and the holidays are so empty. You will never walk in the door again, but I think you are well and happy with your little brothers and helping to care for them. You were always taking care of someone. Love you muchly, Mom

Well, son, I finally got that computer you always wanted me to get. I have read for two days all the reflections and special thanks people have left you. You would be so proud but a little embarrassed, wouldn't you? You were so full of fun but yet always did the job. I miss you more than words can say. I think more every day..........

As I was thinking of all the things I have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season, I thought of Dewayne Graham. I had the privilege meeting him when he was here in Wright County. Dewayne was a super person, as one person said,"he had a standard to live by. He held to that standard no matter what." Those of us that knew him found this to be true. My wife fixed me a memorial display which is hanging on the wall of my shop. It is a reminder of the one that passed my way and helped me appreciate dedication. Dewayne was dedicated to whatever he was doing. I hope his son will never forget the love his dad had for him. Let us never forget the qualities and integrity of our friend, Sgt. Dewayne Graham. If we are truly lucky, we might have one like him to be a part of our lives. He was for a short time.

On the 5th anniversary of Sergeant Graham's death, we honored his service in our patrol briefing by reading his entry from ODMP. Each day, we honor one fallen officer on the anniversary of their death so as to keep them in our thoughts, and also to remind us of the dangers inherent in our job. Sergeant Graham is not forgotten.

DeWayne: While it can never bring you back, may the fact that your killer was convicted, and upon his execution, justice will be served, provide some sense of comfort and closure for your beloved family. May their hearts continue to heal, and may the wonderful memories of a father/son/friend always serve as a reminder of the great purpose in life that God had for you. I sincerely pray for continuous protection for the dedicated men and women of our organization.

Police Officer's Prayer to St. Michael
Saint Michael, heaven's glorious commissioner of police,
who once so neatly and successfully cleared God's premises
of all its undesirables, look with kindly and professional
eyes on your earthly force.
Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for
investigation and wise judgement.
Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and
law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores,
strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.
You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences
with the devil that the police officer's lot on earth is not
always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so
pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the
devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration.
And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your
heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the
throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all
the people. Amen
the person who did this will rott in prison. he took a great man from us.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 4th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I hold your family in my thoughts and prayers today and pray for solace for them during the ordeal of the trial.
I also say a special prayer for justice.

Today is the fourth anniversary of your murder, and I found out that there has been a jury selected for the trial of your murderer. I hope that justice from this point on is swift and fair. It's been far too long.
I miss you every day, and still hear your voice. I wish I could give some of my memories to your son to keep.
