Reflections for Police Officer Jackson Vernon Lone

The tragic loss of Jackson Lone has been the lowest point of my twenty year career. Jack was a wonderful friend and loving husband and father. I shared many adventures with Jack on the harbor boats and dive team, and I will cherish those memories forever. I met a business man that worked in a boatyard in Lake Union. He had brought a card and flowers to the Harbor Station and said that Officer Lone had assisted him with some problems at his boatyard. The business man said that although he had just met Jackson he felt like he lost a close family member. Jack had this extraordinary ability to communicate with people. Jack was able to identify and understand the conflict and hardships that people experience and talk with them in a familiar manner that brought resolve to their problems. It did not matter if you had just met Jack or knew him for many years you instantly felt a sense of closeness. Jack could make you laugh and will always be remembered for his kind heart and humor. I will miss you my friend and look forward to our time together in heaven.

I worked a car with Jack when he was a rookie officer. I never laughed so much at work before or since. People often say trite things like, "he was a special guy" when someone dies. It is not trite to say these things about Jack. We'll miss you, buddy!

Maybe it is best when we say Nothing at all"
I Just couldn't knowing your wife is alone maybe with Family, But she is alone for the Moment without you:

Smile my sister. Remember the good times.
Hold that angel you have and Know God has blessed you with a Fine Man who was And will always Be Her Daddy:
Who is now in Heaven with so many other Men and Women who we have Lost throughout the Years. Your Husband was 25 this Year.
< I do Pray this Crime on officers will go away >

We don't have all the answers of why this happened Although it did.
God wants you to know Just How Deep this Sea of Blue Really is.

We will forever be by Your side and an e-mail or call away:
We want to Hold you up in this Moment and time you may feel alone and need someone to Lean upon:

None of us may have an answer to why:

Jack was a friend, a true professional and above all - a good person. He never failed to make me laugh in our time together in patrol and narcotics. Although it is difficult to lose a friend and and such a wonderful guy - he will live on in my thoughts and prayers. His life and death is a reminder to all of us - take care of your family and friends and make sure that you take time to find the humor in life. Rest in peace my friend. Joe K.

I HAVE A HERO....

I have a Hero,
This person is one who gets dressed for work each day just like everyone else
I have a Hero,
Who kisses their spouse and children before they leave for work not knowing if they will return at the end of the day to hold them once again
I have a Hero,
Who must confort the scared, console the troubled, and protect even the gulity
I have a Hero,
Who arrives to a situation where a child has been killed and must remember that the suspect has "rights"
I have a Hero,
That puts on a uniform each day with a vow to Serve and Protect
I have a Hero,
Who was killed in the Line of Duty today, and with him a part of America died
I have a Hero,
Who goes by the name of Police Officer....

May God Bless all of Our Fallen Brothers and Sisters in Blue. While we honor the lives of those no longer with us.
