When a lawman dies it is tragic in all circles. When a lawman dies going for it....in pursuit of a dangerous suspect who has already shown his disdain for human life...it makes it that much more tragic.

I have nothing but the deepest respect for Sgt. Teasley. he could have done very little or nothing. Instead, Sgt. Teasley went after the dangerous killer, unprompted, relentlessly, in pursuit of a killer.

Though he died in the performance of his duty, this fine man is the best kind of lawman. One who was willing to pursue and bring back for trial a dangerous man.

Honor to Sgt Hoyt Teasley and the entire Fulton County Sheriff's Deptartment.

All of you...hold your heads up.

CONTINUE TO BE PROUD. !!!

Nothing anyone can say with stop the pain. I know the hurt everyone is dealing with. I too just lost my best friend, Deputy Wayne Koester, Lake County Sheriff's Office, Fl. EOW 02/09/2005. I take comfort in 2nd Corinthians 12:9 Jesus said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” My prayers are with the family and friends of Sgt. Teasley.

My deepest thoughts go to your family friends, and co-workers during this difficult time. Thank you for your service! I wish I could've been there for you on that fateful day. We would've either taken the suspect down together, or fallen beside each other. Salute!

Truely a sad day, At best this can serve as a wake up call to the lobbyists and county magistrates that think courtroom security is not "that" important. that is the only positive thing that could arise. Rest easy Deputy Teasley,

Much love to my brother in law enforcement! Heaven is a better place with you there patrolling the streets!

I NEVER DREAMED IT WOULD BE ME

I never dreamed it would be me,
My name for all eternity,
Recorded here at this hallowed place,
Alas, my name, no more my face.

"In the line of duty," I hear them say:
My family now the price to pay.
My folded flag stained with tears;
We only had those few short years.

The badge no longer on my chest,
I sleep now in eternal rest.
My sword I pass to those behind,
And pray they keep this thought in mind.

I never dreamed it would be me,
And with heavy heart and bended knee,
I ask for all here from the past:
Dear God, let my name be the last.

I am a court officer, I am assigned to Queens County Supreme Court, New York City. I know all too well the dangers associated of working at a courthouse. Some people think that the courthouse is safe, nothing ever happens there. Well, where do you think the people that are arrested end up...at the courthouse. Sergeant Teasley, you have done your duty, you are true to your oath, rest in peace hero, we have the watch now.
