Dear Family of Sgt. Teasley,
May God hold you close as you go through this hard time in your life. We are all praying for you and are asking God to comfort you. We as a Law Enforcement family hurt as we try to understand the loss of our brother. Although we may be in another state we all hurt and don't really know how to deal with the way things turn sometimes, we can only pray for one another and know that the man we call husband, friend, son, and dad is with the Lord and watching over us all. Many blessings to you and we are all with you in prayer and thoughts.

I watched this story on the news in horror on Friday. I just can't believe some people can be so evil. I hope this coward will be brought to justice for ALL his crimes.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time and they are also with the families of the Judge and the court reporter who were taken from their families. May you now all rest in peace and watch over us all for eternity.

Another coward took a hero's life on 3/11/05. However, this coward will have his rights protected by a court appointed attorney while Sgt.Teasley and his family's rights were not considered. RIP sir. The Long Blue Line will look after your loved ones. Thank you for protecting us during your time on this earth. Please continue to do so from Above.

My deepest prayer and sympathy are with you and your family,it is such a shame that even with deputys and officers on watch at all times here on earth it will never be enough to keep those few evil souls from roaming the earth and taking the ones we love,I will continue to pray for your family I too know the feeling of losing a loved one to gunfire..Deputy Wayne Koester.. They will watch over us from heaven and sit next to our Lord, until we can be by their sides again..

What another sad story. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this terrible time. I was watching the news this morning and saw that the jerk was arrested. Not only should he do time, he should have to go through all the pain that he did to everybody yesterday. He definitley deserves the death penalty, but I don't know if the state of Georgia does that. To your family, you will be in my prayers and know that Srgt. Teasley is still with you through spirit. Things are going to be extremely hard, but you have family, friends, and loved ones that will be there for you. I will be thinking of you all. Take care and try to be strong.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and fellow officers of Sergeant Teasley.

While none of us who wear a badge wants to be put into such a situation, you put yourself into the line of fire to protect those whom you might not have even known despite the danger. While I did not have the privilege to have known him personally, I am certain that he has found a place in heaven.

Rest in peace my friend; those of us who remain will cover your post on the thin blue line.

No one ever ask to be a hero, it just kind of happens that way. Yesterday Sgt. Teasley proved that he truely is a hero. He put duty and honor before his own personnel safety. To Sgt Teasley's family I can only offer my prayers in these tough times ahead. To Sgt. Teasley all I can say is you have served with honor and your brothers in blue will continue to carry on your fight. Rest in peace.

Like the rest of the nation, I have been following your death on television. I have just watched the footage of your killer surrendering in a cowardly fashion. He wasn't so tough when your partners surrounded him. You are a true hero to the rest of us cops around the country, you did not run from the danger but yet pursued it without hesitation. Your service to your community and this country will not be forgotten. RIP.
