Blake,
I know you were riding with me last Thursday 5/11/2006. I was involved in a chase where the end result was me getting my feet ran over by a tractor/trailer carrying a milatary tank weighing over 60 tons. The only injuries I got was a broken bone in my right foot, deep bone bruising, soft tissue damage, and severe nerve damage. The doc said I should be back to work sometime in July. In the ER the first thing I thought of was you looking over me and I wanted to say thanks and I miss you. There is not a day that goes by thay I don't think of you at least once. Hey buddy, I can't tell you how hard its been to go about each day without you at work or outside of work. I can't thank you enough for what you did for me when my life got hard and you where right there to help me, No matter what it was you would listen and do what you could to help. you where more than just someone I worked with you where my friend,I miss you every day but I have peace in my heart knowing your with our Lord in Heaven,and that I will see you again someday. At 1030 hours, on April 25, Deputy Gammill's name was etched onto the Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial wall in Washington D.C.. I just wanted his family, friend's and co-workers to know that Haven was spoken of, remembered, and his loss acknowledged by his extended L.E. family here in Maryland. Your loss is shared by many and you're in our prayers. Hope to meet some of you in D.C. this May.

Well Blake the Memorial Ride was a huge success, and the ceremony was very nice. My heart just ached for your Mom and Dad and sister, they are such sweet people and I wish I could do more for them. I can see why you turned out so great. I just wish you were here so I could tell you that. I was just reading the most recent reflections. I cried of course when I read Matt's, which inspired mine. I am more worried about him on the new unit, but I know that he is looked after.I have been shown proof of that.I see the love for the job in his eyes, as I did in yours. You are just one more on his side in heaven. He misses you. I read your cousin Shane's reflection.I had a fun memory when we did Karaoke at your 30th birthday party. You and Shane were hilarious! We all had a good time. We are sad we can't make more good memories with you. I guess we just have to keep alive those good times.
