To the family, friends and co-workers my prayers are with you. I wish there was something I could say that would help you, but as we all know there is nothing. The one thing that I focused on was knowing that Clint loved being a police officer. And I bet Joseph loved it also.
Commander Goldsmith your family will miss you everyday, but we will never forget you.
Commander Goldsmith, look Clint up for me, tell him that his mother misses him every minute..

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the Goldsmith Family and the deputies and staff of the Apache County Sheriff's Department over the tragic loss of Commander Joseph Goldsmith. Once again a brother officer has been taken from the thin blue line. May God bless the Goldsmith Family and the deputies and staff of the Apache County Sheriff's Department during this sad time. May our brother Joseph rest in peace. Joseph will now patrol the streets of Heaven with St. Michael and his angels. Never forget the fallen hero!
