Molly & loved ones
God rest your soul sister, your job here is done. As an old friend used to say, " ya dun good, by, ya dun good."
God must have needed another angel....

You put on that uniform and kissed your husband goodbye,
Before calling in service that night.
Protecting and serving, as a true hero does,
Defending all that is right.
An Officer in blue, a lady of the law,
A woman of honor and integrity.
You wore that badge to show the world,
How brave a true woman can be.
It seems in vain your life was taken,
Too young to go to the grave.
But your sacrifice will not be forsaken,
Nor all the lives you saved.
Walk with God now, be at peace,
On the heavenly golden streets.
Our memory of you will never cease;
Now it's time to patrol your eternal beat.
As we lay you to rest know how loved you are,
You died as true heroes do.
Be at peace with the angels, walk with God;
Molly, you're forever 1042.

The urgent calling of nature longs to be tested, seeks to be challenged beyond itself. The warrior within us beseeches Mars, the god of War, to deliver us to that crucial battlefield that will redeem us into the terrifying immediacy of the moment. We want to face our Goliath so we may be reminded that the warrior David is alive, in us. We pray to the war gods to guide us to the walls of Jerrico so we may dare the steadfastness and strength of our trumpet call. We aspire to be defeated in battle by powers so much greater than ourselves, so that the defeat itself will have made us larger than when we arrived. We long for the encounter that will ultimately empower us with dignity and honor....Be not mistaken: the longing is there and it's terrible and beautiful and tragic.

Dear Molly,
So sadly you have now joined the best of the best in Heaven. Your family and loved ones will talk to you often in their prayers and through their tears. In our hearts we know you are at peace, and that you know no pain. The pain will be that of your family, friends and co-workers for many years to come. My family prays for yours as we all try to heal from yet another senseless tragedy. You are another shining star in the heavens for all to look up to.
Bless you.

I know Molly is with the Lord, and she like many police officers everyday try and sometimes give their "OWN LIFE" to help calm suspects or "persons of interest/custody" before they bring them in for treatment in Emergency Rooms across the globe. She and all other police make my job more enjoyable, and safer while working in the emergency room, for I never really know what is my next patient is like -much like Molly not knowing exactly what her next traffic stop will be.. God Bless her, family, and police across the USA....

Molly,
Heaven has added a beautiful angel to its force. My heart breaks for your family - especially your husband who also worked in the same departement. My first husband and I worked together (he an officer & me in dispatch). He was killed on a day that I should have been working had I not taken the day off. The road ahead will be difficult but know there are many prayers surrounding your family & friends. Please give my Calvin a hug & kiss for me...he will show you around and keep you laughing up there in heaven. Thanks for your sacrifice.

Having lived in Columbia for a number of years after attending Mizzou, I have followed Molly's story with great interest from the beginning. My heart and prayers go out to Molly's husband, family, and the members of the Columbia Police Department. This is by and far, the most difficult part of law enforcement, loosing one of our own. We all go willingly into this line of work, aware of the dangers, but praying they will never present themselves. Despite these dangers, Molly probably felt she had the best job in the world. To Molly's loved ones, know you are not alone in your grief and sadness, we all weep with you.
