You are on my mind heavy once again. I guess it has to do with the fact that your birthday is coming up. I want you to know you are always on my mind but always in January and April I seem to think of you alot more. Gosh I know that you are in a better place but it would just be great to see you again here. Your heroism and service is honored today, the fifth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Its hard to believe that five years ago today, a man who knew completely better, made the choice to get behind the wheel after he was beyond intoxicated. Some days it feels like it was just yesterday. Its amazing that someone that I didn't even know made a choice that will effect me for the rest of my life!

Awhile ago I made the decision that I will only remember you as the goofball that you were (and you know you were) and not the way that you were killed. I know that you are with me with every step that I take as you always will be.

Anyways, like always...I LOVE YOU DORK!

5 years ago today still reflects in everyones mind as if it was yesterday. April and I try to not remember how you were violently taken from us this morning, but more of how you lived your life.

We remember the happy times.......Try not to dwell on the sad times.....You are in a better place now.

I wanted to let your family know that our thoughts and prayers are with them and let us know if they need anything. Please send them signs tomorrow, I know that will help them.
