A strong debt of gratitude is sent to you and other corrections officers. Society often forgets the danger and difficulties of your job--out of sight, out of mind, I suppose.

My deepest thoughts go to your family, friends, and co-workers during this difficult time.

I just want to say to his family, I am so sorry for your lost. Speaking as a former Correctional Officer, I know the dangers of the job, and it is awful what happened. I did not know him, but he was one of us, so i guess I did. Maybe Governor Arnold will see just how dangerous this job is, and that we deserve more respect than he is giving us. Officers lose there lives every year, but all people (press) want to tell you is about the negatives. I will pray for your family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about the cruel way that you were taken. I can speak for your fellow brothers and sisters in green when I say that we are deeply affected by your passing. I feel like I know you, because I am you, we all are. We kiss our families goodbye, and say a silent prayer as we walk among the worst of society. We pray for those left behind, your family is in our hearts and prayers. God bless my brother, I look forward to meeting you in heaven.
