Sgt. Stevenson,
Thank you for proudly wearing the uniform everyday. Thank you for your sacrifice. I am happy to know that the coward that did this to you got a very deserving end, I hope he suffered.

I hope your family will find peace at the end of this journey they have begun. I will pray for them.

The Lord said "I have called you by your name, you are mine!"...what a wonderful comfort in times of sorrow. It is also a comfort to know that upon the completion of our work for Him, He will call us home. It is never easy for us to let go of our loved ones. Especially when they leave at the hands of someone else. When that happened to our family (Trooper Nik Green EOW 12/26/03), we did not think that the sun would shine again...however, when we look at the faces of his children, we SEE the sun. To all the friends and family of Sergeant Stevenson, please accept my sincere prayer and condolences for the loss of a brave officer, husband and father.

Once again an officer goes down so that a citizen is not victimized by a killer. It reminds us that for every headline regarding police misconduct, there are thousands of men and women in this country, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, willing to make the ultimate sacrafice to protect the citizens of this country. We mourn your untimely passing, but honor your years of service to your community.
