Goodmorning my love,
I was just thinking once again of how fast these days are passing. It truly seems like you were just walking through our front door, with your beautiful smile, after a long day at work. We would be more than ready to hang out as a family. Our kids looking to see what we would be cooking up for dinner and what movie you would pick for us to watch after. (or what fun plan you would have) I can not tell you how many times these kinds of memories come back to me like, a warm rush of soothing water. I can feel my face light up and my heart skip a beat when I think about the day that we will be able to hug you once again!!! Thank you for staying so very close even though you are just out of reach to our touch. We love you so much Howard, and miss you beyond words...Everyone is doing great and keeping busy. I know you are proud of all of us!!! xoxoxo one day closer Soul Mate

Visited with your family yesterday and they look happy and making good and responsible plans for their future. You would be so very proud of Kathy. She is such a patient mom and she is so connected to the kids. Alot on her plate right now with her mom's health but hopefully the rest of us can be of some help. We all miss you.

Good morning my sweetheart,
Well, it is the first week in September and the start of Labor Day weekend. Our home is quiet as I sit here thinking of all the wonderful trips you planned for the kids and I. Gosh, you had such Great places for us to go! I really do miss every little thing about you!!! Including your ability to make every trip an adventure...Sonora Pass was always one of our favorites!!! We followed you all over looking for left behind Army treasures:) FUN FUN and more FUN! I can see the huge smiles on Bryce and Micky's faces when they found some new treasure...a flash light or a MRE still in tacked! We would hike around all day just following your lead. You are truly one of the greatest leaders of all time in our book!!! I loved having our little family together faraway from the rest of the world. I felt safe and happy just being by your side!!! Holding your hand as we watched our beautiful babies having the time of their lives on that Pass! Bryce is so much like you in regards to loving Sonora Pass (in many other ways too) He takes his friends up there quite often. I think that place feels like a bit of heaven to him because of all the wonderful & peaceful memories he has of our times there. I can almost smell the fresh air right now as I allow my thoughts to drift back...Thank you so much for giving all of yourself to us and leaving us with such amazing memories!!! They really do help us get through these days without you here to touch and hold. I truly am looking forward to the day when we see you again Howard. When once again, I am sure you will lead us around some new and wonderful place in Heaven that you discovered...and can't wait to share with us:) Bryce and Micky are doing great of course. They are in School and are keeping busy with their studies. Carmen and your Mom and Dad sound good as well! I know your Grandma's Birthday is coming up. She will be turning 92yrs young this year. How great is that! My Mom is starting to really settle in at her new place. I am really glad! Plus she will be turning 72yrs young on Monday! We are getting together here at our home on Sunday! I can hardly wait!!! The weather should be very nice, likely in the 80's and sunny. I know you would have enjoyed being here with us as we celebrate and BBQ up some TriTip! You were great at that too!!! Well I have to get to work even though I would rather just stay here writing to you all day long:) Love you with all my heart

Goodmorning my love,
just got back from church with my mom and I was thinking about how you would say, when we build our own home, that we would be sure to build it with an extra room for my mom for when she got older. Thank You for always thinking like that..I know you love my mom very much and of course she loves you just as much. She is always saying that she will give you a big hug and kiss from me if she beats me to heaven. So we joke that the race is on...
I am enjoying very much having her only 10 minutes away. The kids are busy with their lives (I am happy for them) so it really gives me an opportunity to see her everyday.
We get to go to church together on Sundays and then take long walks around the retirement complex. (beautiful grounds) She said, she is very happy living there. She has made some new friends and is more active in social events. Her favorites are Bingo at 6pm and exercise class in the morning. She seems to even be looking younger these days hum..maybe I should move in there..Ha Ha
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you because if you were here still I know you would have wanted her to move in with us, if she needed help. I truly miss you so very very much Howard...but I am blessed that my mom is wonderful too! We are enjoying life here because we still have so many loving people around us everyday. Until the day... Love you with all my being Soul Mate xoxoxo

Hi Sweetheart,
Missing you always...today we laid to rest another Hero. Sgt. Steven May from Modesto Police Department. I know his loving and wonderful wife Diana from many events that we have taken part in together in these last four years that you have been away in heaven. I am sure you were there with all our Police Hero's that have given their lives to protect all of us! Welcoming him in to our Lords' Perfect place that He prepared for his children in advance. I know that gives me great comfort, the comfort to know that You and Steven and all that are there are alive and well!
Show Steven around and watch over us while we are still here in this strange land, away from our true home. Until we are together again my love and my Soul Mate xoxoxo

Hi Sweetheart
Missing you of course....I was thinking today how fast time goes by....I can't grasp that you have been in heaven 4yrs and a little over 6months. It seems like you were just here to help plan some wonderful outing with our beautiful kids. Wow! I can't even put into words how reality can hit when I allow it too. I know you get that...so I know you also see how great our kids have become! My hope is they both continue to press forward in this world but not wanting to"look"like the world but instead truly want to find their purpose in life. Howard, I know you really did a great job loving them, because I see so much of you in them. They have your drive and also your self assurance (most of the time) that they are trying to do things right. I see you in them in a multitude of ways; and I love it! Thank You Again for being you!!!! I Love you Soul Mate xoxoxo

I was listening to my scanner in north Modesto the night Sgt. Stevenson was shot. When I figured out what had happened, my heart sunk to my shoes. I was not involved in the response, but since I myself work full time as part of an ambulance crew, I am acutely aware how this incident affected all of us. I just want to express that there are those of us out in the community who will be forever grateful for all the LEO's that keep the thin blue intact. I pray God's protection & wisdom for each of you.

Happy Father's Day Sweetheart!
You have always been the BEST Dad for our babies. I know they are not babies anymore but I can remember what a short time it took for them to become wonderful adults. They will always be our babies you know! I want to Thank You for being there all the time to help them grow. You gave them the confidence in themselves, to tackle what ever life throws at them. That my love is what makes a GREAT father! You showed love and understanding when they needed it. That my dear is what makes a SELFLESS dad. You gave them direction and told them the truth always! That my sweetheart is what makes a AWESOME dad. You showed compassion towards them when the world did not. That babe is what makes the PERFECT dad! I am truly blessed to have you as my partner and cannot wait until the day that we are able to wrap our arms around you and give you the biggest hello you have ever had!!! Love you Soul Matexoxoxo

Love you so much, How. Thank you for helping me everyday. It's a crazy world. You always made sense in the chaos. Now that I can't phone you, I must rely on your voice in my head. One thing that always sticks is something TJ said on that very black day...."We train rain or shine."... so onward and upward, right? It sickens me that our parents have such pain to endure during this chapter of their lives, when everything should be golden for them. But I know this is the job you wanted. not job, calling. This was it, this was YOU. I know that you wouldn't change anything, except to be with your family as they graduate, get married, have puppies, buy a new...? (computer, tinted windows, car, gun, bbq, fishing rod, softball helmet, mow-ter-sih-cle)... etc. It's the small stuff that really gets me. and the big stuff. but, man you should have see the Mick Miester Maximus play this year ....otta sight. and Bryce? that kid, who towers over me now, is the .....no words.... BEST KID.... he is you and yet he isn't. I'll never forget when you guys drove up to my place that night in Sacto - we were all there you, Kath, le bebe Bryce, mom and daddy....Bryce was 2. We ordered pizza in and watched Beetlejuice. I NEVER heard you talk so much. I realized that no matter what, no matter WHAT... your life began when you became a father. I will never forget that. and that movie is one of my FAVORITES because of that night. I probably never told you that before now. Each time I look at your kids, I think about how you were as a kid, how you were as an adult, and how you were as a COP. What a devasting loss to each of us. But as you directed, we train rain or shine. We are not only trudging through, but plowing onward, keeping you ALIVE everyday as you travel with us. Love you, my brother. Love you so much.

Hi Sweetheart,
third time is a charm they say....we been leaving you messages for a few weeks but the ODMP have been having some glitches in the postings. We thank them for the hard work it took to fix it.
well of course we have to say MISS YOU!!! This spring has gone by so fast. Bryce is starting summer school to get ahead so he can apply at Stan State, and Mick is finishing up her junior year of high school. She took her finals last week and is looking forward to summer softball. I think she really needs the break. I told her one more year and a whole new world opens up! I am looking forward to still having this last year with her though, not sure I would be ready to be a "empty nester" just yet. Having one more year sounds better to me:) Stay close okay!
Everyone on this end is doing fine. Even my Mom has taken a turn for the better!!! Thank the Lord! We had everyone I know praying for her recovery! Love the power of old fashion prayer!!! Kim, Krisy and I are going to have her move to Modesto so we can be closer to her and she can be closer to all her family and friends. This long bout of illness has helped her see the importance of being closer to all of us. Plus Kim and Gray are moving again this summer. Anyway, pray the move goes smooth because I think that will be helpful to her health.
We have been able to get together often with Carmen and your Mom and Dad.
Everyone is doing great on their end as well. We have been Sypking a lot!
LOVE YOU more then ever Soul Mate XOXOXO until see yo again

Oh my, not again! Sweetheart I can not understand what is happening in the world today...My heart breaks every time I hear of an In line duty Death.......
Three Brave Officers were killed again today...I ask Our Lord to stay close to the Families. Their pain has just begun. I know that you are safe and I know they are safe as well. It is those left behind that my prayers will be for. I can hardly wait until the day that we will all be together again!!! I
We attended the Funeral's for the Brave Officers that were Killed In the Line of Duty in Oakland Ca. last week. Micky and I went with Kimmy and some of the Officers from CPD. We knew how important it was to be there for the Families. Bryce and your family were not able to attend but they were there in spirit!!! About 25,000 people and Officers attended. Biggest funeral I ever saw. Really it was four funerals in one day. Oakland PD did a great job!
I also attended Retired CPD Officer Fowler's funeral yesterday. I saw lots of friendly faces there. It was very well done. I'm keeping his family in prayer.
I miss you so much and am pushing forward with all that Our Lord is giving me. Somedays are still harder then others but somehow with Gods good grace I get through. I have been trying to help out more in Our community. Trying to give back something good. I know you would be proud! I was able to help out with the Every15 minutes program. Wow! it was amazing to be apart of it. I plan on helping out again next year. Micky will be able to see it because it will be her Senior year. Softball starts today and Micky might be pitching some of the games. Bryce is 2 classes away from a transfer to Stan State. He plans on having his degree in 18 months. Then go to the Academy here or in Fresno. The days are flying by. I don't mind though cause one day closer to you!!! Love you Soul Mate xoxoxo

It's been too long since I have visited this page, although not a day goes by that I don't think about you. Thank you, Howie, for watching over us as we continue on in your honor. The department has changed since that night. Many new faces, new friends. I do my best to teach them what you taught me. Your name always comes up as I tell them war stories. The thing I stress most to them is the importance of family. That, my friend, is one of the many things I learned from you. Thank you for your friendship, I will never forget.

Howie...... our macho camacho :)
We think of you EVERYDAY!! Marc is completely following in your footsteps and I know you are guiding him in his pursuit for police officer. Dan and Marc are involved in the PSA (public safety academy) at Davis High where Marc has recently been honored for excelling at te fund raiser for scholarships. He ( and Dan) alone sold more tickets than the entire Sophmore,Junior AND Senior classes combined. Marc was honored with a gold pin that only seniors are given at the graduation ceremony and a police binder. He is thrilled. Your photo was placed in it the 1st day :). He has kept all of his collector police cars in a memory shrine to you this whole time. Thank you Howie for hearing my prayers and keeping my son on track towards his goals. You will always be his guardian angel. We miss you!
Loving your family..... awaiting time to Torii's ....
thinking of you daily! Joyce
