Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

Hi my love,
as you know today is 9/11 and we are remembering all those killed in that horrific act...I know that The Lord is in control of all that happens...and keeps all that belong to Him safe in His arms. I pray for our Nation as well for all the leaders of the world (who God has put in place). I pray they hear God's voice and stop all this evil behavior. I pray daily for love and peace for all someday. I am counting the days until I am home with you and all those I love and miss. Please pray for all of us and know my heart breaks for all those who have suffered loss...there will be a day where no tears will fall..that is God's promise...Amen

Hi My Love,
I miss you...thank you for your love and support in everything I did when you were here as well as what I am trying to accomplish now...I feel you in my heart, mind, and soul, and am so grateful for your loving spirit in all the areas in my life. I really miss having you here to share our life in the way only we could and remembering the way we pictured our future...I remember when our world was right. Night time is always the hardest for me (and always will be)...I miss our talks and the sharing of our day. Hi my love,
Miss you as always and just wanted to stop by to tell you about a wonderful event I attended yesterday. It honored all our Brave Officers who gave their lives in the Line of Duty in our area. You of course were honored and they allowed us to give out a Howard Stevenson Award of Excellence. Each surviving family chose who would receive their award.
I love that none of you are forgotten...
The kids are doing wonderful making you proud by living the life we had hope for them....

I have read a lot of reflections since finding this site a few months ago, but none like the ones I have read from this heroes wife, soul mate and wonderful person. You also are a hero. They have given me a good cry and torn a little bit of my heart, but nothing like how many cries and heart aches you and your family must have had. I am sure God is keeping him busy patrolling the streets of heaven!

i think about you everyday, all day. i check this website each morning. when i see a new post, i am grateful and even joyful. i know people move on, even we do.....but we don't really. there is progress, but our hearts will always be in 2005.
on the way home tonight i passed the sheraton hotel and i could envision all of us, and all the law enforcement gathered there for the annual CA OD MEMORIAL.

and also, how ironic that sergio wrote too. proof that you imprinted his life and he too never forgets. he shares all of our loss. i will translate, as i think it is so loving, befitting, and heartwarming........ love you How.

Hey Howie. I put the finishing touches on my Jeep. Fallen Officer license plate with your ID#. I bought the jeep to do all the things you used to love, hunting, fishing, etc. I thought it a fitting tribute and now you will be with me when I am up in the mountains. Hi My Love,
You have been in my heart and continued thoughts with every activity I took part in today... love you so very much and am longing to see you again in your Heavenly position!!! I know tomorrow is the first day of spring and I have been spring cleaning all day today. I remember when we would work together side by side cleaning up the winter yard and cleansing our home of stuff we no longer needed yet some how obtained through the year. I am much better at not obtaining stuff but instead spend my time being grateful for what God has provided:) I know the most amazing provision I received from God was the internal knowledge that I will see you again in Heaven with our Lord and Savior. No one can take that truth away from me...and I am beyond grateful.
I wanted to just tell you how much you are missed as well as the many loves in my life..like my my Grandma, Dennis, and of course my mom...I felt your presents as I worked trough my day....give Sadie a hug and pet for us...she is running and playing with you all now...London and I are out walking everyday together, I think she is adjusting to being top dog (if Myla will let her that is...she is trying to dominate London)

Hey Howie, another year has passed, eight in total. It seems like yesterday. I think about you every day and continue to tell your story, not so much about how you died, but how you lived, to those that I train. I miss you buddy. I know you watch over us and I have felt your presence on more than one hairy call over this past year. Oh My Love,
my heart is broken beyond belief and I know you are watching from your Heavenly place...today so many hearts have been broken. We are a Nation of sad and lost people...pray with me to Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for our sins...to help us find forgiveness, guidance, wisdom, and mercy. Help me to pray the right way, to our Lord Jesus Who is the only One that can comfort us all. This horrific act has touched so many... We are heart broken...and like so many that know the pain that a violent and horrific act can bring, we pray for God's comfort. These beautiful children were a gift....now they are safe in our Lords Perfect Arms, yet we are here to grieve their loss. I continue to keep everyone involve and all that are lost and hurting in my prayers. Praying always that our Lord Jesus will comfort those that are hurting...and showing His Magnificence and Purpose even through this horrific act.
