Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant Howard King Stevenson

Hey Howie, kalani again.
It's been a while since I've visited this site. I always seem to cry when reading all the lovely reflections.
As I'm sure you know, my dad was promoted to Sergeant today, something he's wanted for a while. I know that he still remembers all the things you've told him and still tries to make your proud of him. I'm sure you and Bob were standing there as it was happening. Clapping, cheering, and I'm sure dancing.
We miss you a lot Howie. Everyone at the PD does. I promise I'll come visit you soon (:

Good Morning my forever love,

I just wanted to tell you again how much you are loved and missed.

We had our first significant rain fall today and I am so grateful to our Lord...

As I sit and listen to the sounds of these Heavenly drops, it reminds me of the days when we played in the rain with the kids...

I am also reminded of your commitment to SWAT training. You trained "rain or shine" and your team still continues to up hold your tradition.

Sending all my love xoxoxo

Howard my love,
I just wanted to let you know how much you are missed and loved. Time has stood still in that respect for all of us. You lived your life with such courage and conviction. You are still an amazing influence in my life and I know, in the kids as well.

If someone would have told me, early on, that we would be forced to live without you during these last 10 years and 10 months, I would have crumbed to pieces.

When you were taken from us, all we could do is just try to breathe another breath. Yet, your example, even then, of bravery, somehow propelled us forward through those terrible early days.

Thank You for leaving us with such amazing examples to live by. My love, You are intertwined into all I do!!! I am living the best life I can until we are reunited with our Lord and savior, Jesus,

I know Jesus, is taking care of all of us, as we wait to be with you again.

I Love you :) my forever soulmate

Howie,
I went home this week and made it out to Lakewood to visit my brother and you. I was struck by how many folks were out there since I was last home in 09. I just wanted to tell you that I love you, I am proud of you, and I have never forgotten you. I carry a piece of my old FTO with me, and I am a better man because you helped shape me as a young man. Godspeed Sergeant Stevenson. Rest easy!

I look forward to the day we are all reunited in Heaven!!! Until then, I continue to pray and trust, in our Lord and King, Jesus Christ:)

Hi My Love,
Today is ten years since you were honored at the main service...that day is forever burned in my/our memory.
Thousands came out to pay their respects. Many brothers and sisters in blue. Yet, there were also citizens and friends, all who came to say goodbye to a Hero.
The streets were lined as we followed the car carrying your body. I still cannot wrap my mind or heart around it all.

However, I/we, are truly thankful for all the support then and now...

You are missed and love and will NEVER be FORGOTTEN

Until the day we are forever together, I love you, my Soul Mate xoxoxo

Time marches on brother. But even though it does, I/we, those that love you take time to remember. May we never forget those that have given everything that we may live and be safe and secure. Howie, you are truly a hero. Godspeed Brother!

I am grateful for Sergeant Stevenson's standing in the 'thin blue line' which keeps us safe from the evil around us--and equally as grateful for the testimony of his wife for him and their savior Jesus Christ. Howard Stevenson will not be forgotten through all eternity for his sacrifice.

Today is the anniversary of the worst day in CPD history. American Pie was just played on the radio back here in Nashville and once again it made me cry, just the same as it did the day we laid you to rest. I miss you my friend! You will never be forgotten, thank you for everything you did for me while you were here on this earth. I was blessed to know you and your family; we're all better people because of you.

.....S143, Ceres........S143, Ceres....still no answer.....we miss you; God Bless!

Hi my forever love,
Well, today is the last day of yet another year without you here. I love and miss you as do so many others. I know you have impacted so many lives and I still run into folks who remember you with great respect and love...They often share a story or two...and I count that as a huge blessing:)

I know you are watching over all of us from your position in Heaven=Jesus Please continue to pray for all the brave police, fire, military and EMS, who put their lives on the line everyday. I pray hard that all our first responders will be allowed to return home to their supportive families.

I continue to trust in the Lord and know Jesus understands fully the sacrifice of In the Line of Duty because He gave His life, and paid in full, once and for all, the sins of the world.

Trusting in Jesus is what keeps me moving forward with great anticipation of reuniting with all my loves who have gone before me.

I love you with every fiber of my being, and continue to count the days until we are together forever with Jesus xoxoxo

Hi My Love,
I wanted to let you know how much you are missed and loved. Thanksgiving was just a few days ago and as we reflected about the meaning of the day, thoughts of you flooded my mind. I know that even though you are not here in the physical sense, you are still very much with each of us who know and love you.
I am so thankful to have the faith to believe we will see you again in perfect love with our one and only savior, Jesus Christ!!!
I long for the day when He wipes away every tear, pain, and all the ugliness of sin.
I pray everyone will step out in faith and trust the one and only who is the giver of eternal life, Jesus Christ:)
Until I we are reunited my beloved Soul Mate please continue to pray for us and watch over all of us from your position in Jesus.
xoxoxo Happy Thanksgiving

Hey Howie, it's Kalani(:
I miss you everyday. and every every night I work, I know you're watching over me when I find an open door and have to make sure everything is Code 4. I introduced you to my friend Krystal on Memorial Day. I told her the brave act you did to save the lives of many people. You are my hero Howie. You protect the entire CPD family. I am so grateful for you. I know you were with my brother protecting him when he got into that crash a while back. I know you pushed my dad out of the way of a car when he was walking on the street, mapping something out. you are missed everyday by so many people. I, like my brother Michael, wish I had the pleasure of knowing you longer. I knew you for 9 years of my life, I have many memories that I cherish every time I think of them. they were happy times full love and laughs. I wish you could have watched your kids grow up to be the man and woman they are. you would be so proud of them. and sweet Kathy. I loved going through and reading her notes to you. they are so sweet and full of love. I cherish the moments I get to see your beautiful family.
I know you and Bob are up in heaven welcoming all the officers that we have lost this year. and you're probably making them your oysters, and everyone's drinking a beer. but hopefully no tables get broken(:
thank you Howie, for giving up your life to save the lives of many. and continuing to protect the CPD family. Many are still saddened by the brave act that you took. we all miss you so much Howie <3
