I am trying to make sense of all this. These brave men put on their uniforms and badges and go out there to protect us. I am so proud of everyone who wears a badge. But why does something like this have to happen? But now he is patrolling the streets of heaven. It comforts me to think that he might be 'back up' for other officers, keeping them safe from the scum that plagues this earth. My prayers go out to the Pendergrass PD and the Ruse Family. He left this world a hero and he will always be in your hearts and he'll be with you on your calls late at night. Patrolman Ruse, watch over your brothers as they put on the badge tonight. They've got your watch from here. You just rest easy.

Officer Ruse, may you and your family know we all grieve with you. Such a senseless loss. Yet another reminder that Satan and all evil is still alive.

"Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men
Preserve me from violent men,
Who plan evil things in their hearts;
They continually gather for war,
They sharpen their tounges like a serpents,
The poison of asps is under their lips

Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked
Preserve me from violent men
who have purposed to make my steps stumble
The proud have hidden a snare for me,
and cords, they have spread a net by the wayside
They have set traps for me...

I know the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted
And justice for the poor
Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name
The upright shall dwell in Your presence"
