We were on the way to the hospital when we found out that you had passed away. Jeff kept say, "they've make a mistake" over and over again. You were one of his best friends. He talked of you often. You were loved by so many.

Jeaneane was lost. I could not find the words to tell her what I was feeling. Your children were brought in later. They were in disbelief. My heart breaks for them. They are in our thoughts and prayers. Your family will be taken care of.

Your work here is done. I know that you are with God now. Thank you for having my husbands back while you worked together. You were a true brother to him. We love you and will never forget you.

Somebody killed a police officer today and a part of America died, a piece of our country he swore to protect will be buried at his side. The suspects who shot him will stand up in court, with his counsel demanding his rights, while a young widow must work for their kids and spend many long lonley nights.

The beat that he walked was a battlefield too, just as if he had gone off to war. Yes, somebody killed a police officer today, it happened in your city or mine. While we slept in the comfort behind our locked doors,a cop put his LIFE on the line.

Now his ghost walks a beat on a dark city street and he stands at each recruit's side. He answered the call he gave us his all and this day a part of America died... My prayers go our to you in your moment of loss. He did not die in vain. Please remember, he gave his life so that WE all can be safe.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

My heart sank as I heard the dispatch of an officer down. My heart raced as we blocked the intersections to bring the med unit into town. Seeing this fellow officer taken into the ER was the most horrible experience I have had in Law Enforcement.

God be with your wife, children and fellow officers during this tragic time.

My prayers are with you!!!!
