Little Brad I love and miss you, there isn't a day goes by when I don't pray for you. Please help your family get back together. Say hi to Grandpaw Schultz for me.

December 14, 2005

You are still with us, you have not gone away.
We speak of you, think of you and dream of you everyday.
Your presents makes us stronger with everything we do,
No matter the time since we have last seen you.
Little Brad and his Grandpo are together looking down from above.
Impressed they must be at how much they are loved.

Tomorrow will be one year since you've been in heaven. I don't want to say that it has been one year since you've been taken from your family because I know that you are still with them every single day. You, along with many other officers had your life taken too early. I think of all of you guys all the time. You, Nick, and the other guys put your life on line every day to do what you loved. It is just so sad that your time to be with God started one year ago. They always say that it happens to the best. That is true. I know that Nick was a great police officer, friend, brother, son, daddy, boyfriend, cousin, and so on. I am sure you were the same. Well, I will definitely say a prayer for you, your family, and loved ones as you have your first birthday in heaven. I know there are many people with you that will help you celebrate your life. Thank you for your dedication and hard work!

It will be one year that you were called away from duty. I know to your family that year seems like so long ago that they were able to hear your voice and laugh. Time seems to have stopped for them and that they are experiencing a bad dream but then awake to reality and try and make it through another day. You will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and close friends.

Brad,

You are missed, man. Working with you up at the H.S. was great. I'll miss "offroading urban style" with you!

You're a great man, and a great Police Officer. Knowing you are up there watching out for us down here is a great feeling.

God's speed Brad.

Brad-
I got to see your parents and Lisa over the weekend at the memorial in Jefferson City. I also got to meet your brother and other family members. They are all so nice and I know that they love you so much. We will be with them again this week in Washington. I know this will be very emotional for all of us. We will all have each other and will get through this. My family is always here for your family.
I am asking you and Nick to please watch over all of us and help us get through this next week. Please keep sending signs to your family to let them know that you are with them and to help them deal with next week.

Give Nick a big hug from me.

Officer Schultz, thank you for your service and dedication. You will be missed and never forgotten. May your family, fiancée, and everyone who loves you stay strong in the memories and love you shared with them.

I lost my fiancée, Scott Stewart, in August of 2002. There not a day that goes by without him in my heart and mind. I understand the pain your love must feel from being ripped from you to soon. The support and love from others who understand have helped tremendously.

To your fiancée Lisa, if you ever feel the need to reach out please contact me, along with other fiancee’s and significant others. A search on yahoo groups will bring you to us. Just enter the below as it is.

I’m so sorry you and Brad’s family had to join our “survivor” family.

Always remember as long as your heart beats Brad will be with you. He’s there everyday in your heart.

Hugs,
Monica

Officer Schultz, although strangers to her, your Aunt Kit reached out to us when our Mo. Trooper nephew was lost in the line of duty, as you were. We'll try to honor your memory and her quick and thoughtful kindness by being there, ourselves, for someone else. God Bless and rest easy.

I am not a police officer, but I knew Brad for about 10 years. He was truly one of the nicest people I have ever met & I was always proud to say I was his friend. He served in my community, and I miss him every day. I still expect feel the familiar tap on my shoulder in the gas station and turn around and see him. As I have endured quite a few losses, this has struck me as one of the hardest. He was protecting my community, he died on the street that runs parallel to mine, and I was honored to have known him.

I just found out today that I will be riding in memory of Officer Schultz in May as part of the Police Unity Tour. His memory and sacrifice will be in every mile I pedal. I hope that his family and friends will find comfort in knowing that he is not forgotten. If you have never heard of the Police Unity Tour please look us up on the Internet. Rest easy Officer Schultz... "In Valor there is Hope."

To family and dear friends,
Nothing can take away the pain you feel, but as time goes by, the wonderful memories will slowly fill the gap left in your heart by this tragedy. Brad left a legacy behind him, and will always be remembered as the courageous, caring, dedicated officer that he was, and forever will be. This memorial serves as a reminder to us what a tight bond we share. Brad was my relief almost every shift I worked. Not a day goes by that he is not in my thoughts, and not a night goes by his family is not in my prayers. May you find some peace in knowing Brad passed away doing a job that he truly loved. In his short time here, made more of an impact than most people will ever make in their entire lifetime.
Rest in peace brother, you will never be forgotten.
