I've always admired and appreciated Bob. He provided a warm presence that seemed to allow me to be more at ease and enjoy life. Bob always found a way to keep us that worked with him smiling, even at times where it seemed almost impossible. For Bob's greatness in character, I know he is truly in a better place. For all he gave, I will really miss him. May God continue to bless Bob, his family, and keep everyone in His care.

Your tenacity and desire to serve the citizens of Volusia County for so many years is a prime example of why you are so respected. You have touched the lives of so many people, citizens and police officers alike. Your family should be proud of the service you rendered for so long. It is so senseless for this to have occurred and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

How does one begin to reflect with just words, on a lifetime of living…a lifetime of giving? Our hearts are heavy and our minds don’t understand…but God must have had a reason to call you home now so the burden of our grief is best left in His hands. I will personally miss that grin from ear to ear that you so often shared and your cheerful "Hello". Thank you for your years of public service and your dedication to the call. Your memory will live on in each life you touched so rest peacefully Bob and may God grant your family comfort during this trying time.

I would see Bob in the P.D. parking lot in the evening or on a call and he would joke with me,"What are we still doing here Keith? Haven't we done this [police service]long enough?" I said no, you're here because you love it. He enjoyed the comradery and the men and women he served with and he was proud to serve in his community, a true professional. We will miss you and your great sense of humor. Our deepest sympathy and prayers to your family. Keith & Deidra Feder
