I am extremely sorry for your loss. Sergeant James Johnson's brave and heroic character is inspirational to a new deputy like myself. I have been with the Sheriff's Office for 2 weeks now and I hope and pray that in time I might be half the man that Sergeant James Johnson was. May God Bless his family and his department and may the Lord comfort them in their loss.

As I read what happened to Reserve Sergeant Johnson, I picture in my mind the turn of events that unfolded - and I see a truly brave hero who gave not a second thought to assisting a civilian in need. I am deeply saddened and very angry that the life of a husband, dad, friend, and brother to many in uniform was taken over a property line dispute. My heartfelt sympathies to the family; you are all in my thoughts and prayers. God's peace be with you, and may He continue to watch over the dedicated men and women on the thin blue line.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want,His comfronting hand reduces fear to naught; He makes me walk through streets of crime,But he gives me curage and peace of mind.
He leads me by still waters the path I trod, And he says in romans I'm "minister of God"
He leads me in righteousness as he restores my soul,For his name's sake He keeps me whole.
When I walk through death's valley, right up to the door,I will fear no evil, for He comfrots me more.

I had the honor of knowing Sergeant Johnson through his automotive business. Since I am a young officer, he would share some of his knowledge with me through the stories he would tell. We would discuss his love for his police canines. Sergeant Johnson I will miss your stories and hope that God called you up to fulfill a higher purpose. I will miss you. I will keep in my prayers your family. Also to the Forsyth County Sheriffs Dept, my deepest sympathy to the loss of a great man.
