This is one of those days. The tears won't stop flowing. I miss you so much. I can't believe it's been 16 years. Tomorrow is that goofy yet highly recognized holiday that you showed love to all that mattered. Thank you for just being you - forever the protector & provider and the best friend, brother, father, son, partner and confidant that anyone could ever ask for. You, Sir, are truly one-of-a-kind. Thank you for your service to the community and your ever impactful and authentic love to all that you knew. You are the best and forever a rock star. I'll see you in Heaven one day, and when I do I'm going to smack your bald whopper head in love.

I can’t believe it’s been 16 years since your amazing person left us to rest with God. Not a day goes by that I and the girls don’t think of you. So many memories - joy, laughter, tears we went through it all. You are still and will forever be our Angel and Hero. I selfishly wish you were still here, but I know God needed your more. Thank you for a lifetime of memories - I can still hear your voice (strong but loving) in my head telling me to push forward, don’t look back, soar, you can do it and I’m proud of you. Well, I’m proud of you and the imprint you left on us all. Love you, mean it.

I was changing to a new bike bag today, and I had to remove your button with your picture and name with the words "We Remember." Your button has been on my bike bag since I returned from your services. I keep it there as a reminder to me this profession is not safe no matter where you work. I will place your button on my new bike bag and display it proudly.

I display it proudly so when people inquire I can tell your story. Hard to believe it has been 14 years. I have not forgotten you.

God Bless you; still, Brother and may your continued rest remain peaceful.

Brother, it's hard to believe it's been 14 years since you were so brutally murdered doing such a 'safe' job. You have NOT been forgotten, Brother and the reflections throughout the time which has elapsed, prove this. I've said before, it's always especially tough to lose a fellow 'campus cop' since we're always told just how safe our job is.

I thank you for your service and dedication. It may have been 2 years that you served, but it was a 2 good years.

God Bless you, still, Brother and may your continued rest remain peaceful.

James was a great man and a better friend. He had a contagious smile and never knew a stranger. I'm very proud to have known him and to have worn the same uniform that he loved.

It has been 10 years since I lost my brother in blue. In many ways it feels like yesterday we were laughing about putting foil on the tv, or getting our room tossed by the DI's. It also feels like a lifetime ago since I got to hear my friend laugh. It would be nice to have you to help with the high and low times this job brings. To see the changes from rookies to more experienced Officers. However, God needed you more then we did. It has been 10 years but know that you will NEVER be forgotten!!!! I miss my brother and friend.

There's not a day that passes that we are not reminded of you. I often hear your laugh. I watch Major Payne every chance I get because you loved that crazy movie so much. The girls miss their Uncle JJ. We love you and our lives have not and will never be the same without you. Love you and miss you immensely. You will NEVER be forgotten.
