Wow. Seven years. It doesn't seem possible. So much has changed and yet, much has stayed the same. Your kids miss you. We talk about you every now and then. I know they think of you all the time. It's hard for them even after all of this time. But, you were doing what you loved. That uniform was permanently attached whether you had it on or not. You know that's what brought us together in the first place, even thought you didn't have the sense to come in out of the rain...

Miss you.

Bubba,

I sit here at work today thinking of that morning, 6years, and 5 hours ago, time flies by, but not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I try to remember all the good times we had, the laughs, the jokes, hunting. I actually was near camp last weekend, wish we could've enjoyed hunting from there together with the family. Hunting season is upon us again and I know you will be there in spirit as you always are! I miss you until I see you again, take care!! GODSPEED, love Mooner

Just driving around thinking about all the good times we had working in Caseville. I know you are watching over all of us keeping us safe. I think of those days often and laughing with you and Jack. Like the time on the beach the poor guy and girl in the car. Does your father know you are with him? John keep us safe.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 5th anniversary week of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace. I hold your family in thought and prayer. Like your parents, I understand the anquish of losing a beloved son, surely one of life's greatest sorrows.

I can't believe it's been 5 years. We miss you every day and still think of you. It hasn't gotten any easier especially seeing all the milestones that you have missed. Mom, the boys and I went out to the airport tonight to reflect. You are missed.

John-
Over 4 years ago now you were taken away. Good to see that people still pay respect and let you know that we will never forget you. I wish that more people could understand the loss of a police officer like you touches so many lives. Take care up there and keep watching over us!

To the family, friends and fellow officers of John,
Our son Daniel and your John died on the same day, in car accidents responding to back up. It is what they do... covering each other. We know how much you all miss John... we walk on the same path everyday. We do not understand the WHY we only live with the FACT. They are gone from us although they are never gone from our hearts. Until we see them again we will have to cling to that. It it true about the "Thin Blue LIne". From our family to yours may God bless and keep you!!!!

Today it has been four years. This is the first year since you left that the kids are not all together. I'm sure that they are all reflecting on the day, in fact, I know they are. You are missed deeply by your kids.
