Hey Ron I come on here on a daily basis and pray that there is no new name on the page. I think about you all the time, so much I just break down. You were a great friend to me Ron and inspired me to be where I am today. As you know Anthony is working Rancho and John is up in
40-King, I pray that you help keep them safe and help look over all Law Enforcement Officers. Ron, this is bye for now but I will be back soon to talk to you some more. Godspeed Ron!

Merry Christmas, Ron!

I just had to wish you a Merry Christmas on this cold and rainy day. You have been on my mind a lot lately with all the Christmas decorations and lights up and around town. Tonight I reminisced about your visitations and it put a smile on my face just like you always did when I saw you. I sure wish that you were still here to create more fun memories. You can be sure that I definitely cherish what memories I do have, but I cannot help but be greedy for wanting more from someone who was very special. Even though it has been four long years, I will never forget you or your friendship and support. You are always number one in my blessings.

Hi Ron...I was thinking of you today...your memories live on in Rancho everyday when I see a green wristband or black band on someones OC spray or on their gunbelt.. You really made a great impact in peoples lives and touched their hearts. We miss you very much!

To Ron and all his loved ones:

Ron, you rescued us, saved our possessions, our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication are awe-inspiring.

This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether you received a word of thanks or praise.

Rest in Peace, Ron. Your memory is honored and revered today and everyday.

Four years ago today you left us . . . yet it only seems like yesterday that we were talking and laughing on the phone. I still cannot believe that you are gone. I expect to hear your voice on the other end of the phone when it rings or to see you walk into the room with that great smile of yours and give me a warm hug. I avoid the site of your accident - I do not need the horrific memories to come back. I just wanted to say that I miss you and look forward to the day that we can be together again - laughing . . . joking . . . talking . . . hugging.

What a pleasure to read all the wonderful things people have said about you.
You were a wonderful representation of Jesus and glorified Him with your life.
4 years ago today, you met your Lord and Savior face to face. Thanks for dedicating your life to Him and touching so many lives through your chosen
career. You made the uniform look good! Christ's eternal retirement plan is out of this world. Rejoice! I look forward to meeting you one day. Since no police officers are needed in Heaven, I wonder what work the Lord has in store for you. I'm sure you will shine!

Thinking of all of your loved ones today and they face this day. Some will say it seems just like yesterday that you were here and for others it has felt like a life time since they last heard your voice, seen your smile and felt your warm touch. You are thought of every day by those that love you and were close to you. Continue to watch over all of your loved ones, protect them from harm. You will never be forgotten.

Well Ray is off to the Army, we talked about you last night. I mentioned the example you set. Your ethics, courage, and integrity. Keep an eye on him, and if you can swing it see if you can maybe pull a little guardian angel duty. Can't think of anyone who would / could be a better one.

May 30, 2008

Well, National Law Enforcement Officers' Memorial Week just ended and I thought about you every day of the week. It is such a shame that someone who was making such a positive impact within the community had to leave us so soon. Like Billy Joel sings, "Only the good die young".

I thought about you today (not that I do not think of you every day) and wanted to wish you an early happy Easter. I cannot believe that it has been four years since you left us -- time flies. I sure do miss you and your sense of humor. You always managed to make me smile even when I was having a bad day at work. You were my ray of sunshine and you still are. Sure do miss you!

Ron, I just wanted to wish you a happy New Year. I still cannot believe that you are gone. In listening to "Auld Lang Syne", I found myself especially thinking of you. You are definitely one person that I will NEVER forget. You were a true friend who always had a kind heart, warm smile, and listening ear and I miss you deeply.

Merry Christmas, Ron. I just wanted you to know that you have not been forgotten. This time of year brings many fond memories of you and some how I wish there could have been many, many more. I always have a cup of hot chocolate in your honor and memory this time of year. Miss you and wish you could still be here.

"The Badge"

He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.

He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.

Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.

He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.

His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.

He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.

And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.

But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.

Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.

Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.

So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.

In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.

Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

Ron,

I just learned of this site and felt it was my duty to come here and reflect upon your tragic death. I spent two weeks with you at the motor academy and remember your constant smile fondly. I spent five years on the motor and during that time attended your funeral. I remember how much becoming a motor meant to you. I'm sorry that it took me so long to find this site and honor you once more. God speed and know that I think of you often.

Ron-
It was only a few weeks ago that I was up in Sacramento and went to the police officers memorial right outside of the capital building. I found your name and it was like it wasn't real!!!! It only seems like it was yesterday that you and I were planning a scuba diving trip. I miss you like crazy Ron!!! I think about you all the time. Thank you for keeping an eye on my brother and bringing him home safe a few weeks ago, you are definately a angel from heaven!!!! If it wasn't for you we could have lost him. Ron I will never forget the great times we have had, those memories will be with me forever. Take care up there and Godspeed brother!!!
