Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Ronald Wayne Ives

Okay, been a while since I've visited. We have moved and live in Wyo. now. Leigh Anne was med retired, and I'm off with a jacked back! Anyway we were shopping the other day and the song came on, you know the one. We smiled and said Hi! Then about 30 mins later in another store it came on again. Guess you were just answering back.

Miss your company and humor. Going to ask a favor with regards to Angel duty. Watch over Kathryn, she's in Basic if you can believe it. Going to be an MP. You have been there for Ray, keep an eye on her to.

They example you always set as a PROFESSIONAL Law Enforcement Officer was something everyone admired about you. I hope this example will inspire Kathryn to do the same.

Keep heaven safe, and may the Lord look out for all who know and love you!

So much has changed since you have been gone. I miss you and all that you represented to others and to me and our son. I hope you would be proud of what i have achieved in the last few years. I want a new life and im making it day by day in that new life to rebuild happiness separate from you. I will always love you till time stands still but i know that i will love again. Rest in peace my love. K

Holiday time and memories of friends and family are flooding my mind and emotions. Of course you are one of the fondest memories I have during this time. Our friendship was not the longest in history but it sure seemed like it. 8-) Sure wish you were still here to help create more wonderful memories.

6 years ago. Goes by fast, but I remember the day you died like it was yesterday. I wear the black bracelet with your name on it everyday to serve as a reminder. You are missed my friend. You left a long lasting legacy.

Well my friend, it was six years ago. The pain and grief we all felt as each of us were notified fades, and are replaced by wonderful memories of the profound friendship we shared. We miss you very much, but find relief knowing that you are with our Lord. So, this is a note to you and for you, to show that you my friend are not forgotten and never will be! Continue your guardian angel duty, watch over all who wear the badge, and as is inevitably the case welcome those who make the ultimate sacrifice. Looking forward to the day we will meet again, remember put in a good word for me before I get there. I realize the B/I to get in is pretty simple, but having a great reference such as yours will certainly be a wonderful thing to have! Love ya bro! Peace!

Thinking of you, and how much I miss being able to talk to you. Was on a drive near our home in Wyoming, the conversations we had about retiring to the quiet parts of the country, wish you were here to see it. Not quite as pretty as heaven, but close!

Rest in peace my friend, and may the lord look over your family, friends, and those who love you!

Not a day goes by that I do not think of you and since it is Law Enforcement Memorial Week I thought I would leave a reflection. I have had to go by the scene of your accident because of the location of a specialty store that I frequent. I always try to go north on Archibald but traffic rarely allows that to happen. I miss you and your friendship.

Hey buddy, just a quick note to let you know you are in our thoughts. Was speaking to friends the other day about you and Karen. We were looking at the pics of everyone here at the house on the 4th of July. And how we must have watched the Whiskey Girl video about 10 times during the course of the day. How you spent most of the time in the pool playing with all the kids. (Where else)

Ray ships soon, thankfully looks like Kuwait, though the dummy keeps trying to get switched a little closer to the action. Still need to put in a little guardian angel duty please. Thanks, love ya bro!

Hey Ron, it has been some time since I came on here. I just wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten about you, its just that with it being your 5th anniversary it has been real hard for me. We have shared some good times together scuba diving. I just keep thinking of your smiling face and that I am going to see you at the scuba counter, then I realize that you are gone. Keep looking over all of us and keep us safe. Until we meet again, GODSPEED Ron!!!!

I had to go by the site of your accident the other day and thought of you. I always try to avoid that intersection but I had some business that had to be done in that area and I could not get to it any other way. I cannot believe that it has been five years since I received the phone call regarding your accident. It just seems like yesterday that we were talking and laughing, which you always managed to make me do. Sure do miss you but I do treasure the times we had together.

5 years have passed and it still feels just like yesterday when i heard the tragic news. I still think of you often, and everytime i pass a Motor Officer, i say a prayer for you and all of the other Motors out there. You are a Hero and touched so many people's lives, you will always be remembered!!!

Ron,

All I have to say is I miss you man! We were just talking about you the other day at work. Never hear a bad thing about you, truly amazing. I am going to try my best to one day fill those shoes you left behind. Hope everything is going ok up there, we all miss you. By the way I bought me a Harley Davidson and I am loving every minute. One day ill be a motor officer in Rancho, just like you. Til that day, god bless, take care and continue to protect us like you always do. I know you are there!!!
