Eric you are missed each and everyday. Happy Halloween honey. I wish you could be here to go trick or treating with us. I think of our Halloweens' in the past when you were with us and it makes me laugh and smile at all the wonderful memories. Chico was absolutely right when he said, " the world would be a better place if we all had a little Eric White in our hearts." I love you so much Eric.

We live each day feeling the loss of you in our lives Eric. They broke the mold when you were born. Those of us who were lucky enough to have known you know what I mean. You absence is felt more than words can express. You will never be forgotten!!!

Today's not just another day, Eric. Today hasn't been just another day since that night 3 years ago. I stop today and honor your sacrifice, and in turn the sacrifice your family made. I know that your family keeps your memory alive through your children. They will always know what a good guy you were!

You are always in my prayers.

August 28, 2007

Just letting you know your sacrifice is being remembered today. May God bless you and your loved ones today, on the third anniversary of your passing. Thank you for your service...

Hi Whitey-

We just returned from visiting your Wife and kids. They miss you so much and it was hard to go back to your home and find that in reality you are not there. We could definitely feel your spirit. We loved to hear the funny stories and memories they repeat over and over again to keep you alive in their hearts. You truly live on in ours. We miss you "Guero".

Whitey, I try to make each day count. Your legacy has made me keenly aware of living life to the fullest and setting my priorties right. I think of you often. And when I'm on the job, I try to work as hard as you did. And do the job with the same flair and passion. You're one of a kind and I miss you so much.
I'll continue to pray for Colleen and the kids.

Your friend always,

My thoughts are with your loved ones on this 3rd anniversary of your EOW. You have not been forgotten. I know that the first thoughts every monring when your loved ones awake are of you and the last thoughts of the day before they go to bed are of you. Continue to keep watch over all of your loved ones and those still out on patrol. You will never be forgotten.

"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

Eric-
Your beloved wife still loves and misses you so much. Please give her the courage and strength to continue to smile and live. It breaks my heart to see such a wonderful person break down with all of the pain she holds within heart. Help her from above please Eric. I know true love never dies, it continues. God Bless you proud Hero.

Two years to the date after your passing, I would raise my right hand and take an oath of honor to serve my community as a Police Officer. Though we have never met, it's such an honor to have started where you left off. I'll finish the mission for you. Rest easy Officer White, you're never forgotten.

Hi honey. I love you and miss you. I can't believe how big the kids are getting. Your princess sat in my lap and I couldn't believe how long her legs have gotten. She's definetely a spider monkey. I want to believe that you can see us. I want to believe that you are watching over us. Buddy went camping with Grandpa. I wish you were here to be taking him. He so wants to be just like you. I can't blame him for that. There is no better hero than you Eric. I am so grateful that the kids remember so much. Sometimes they remember stuff I wish they would forget. (lol) I hope you know that I'm trying my best. I don't want to let you or the kids down. When you see me falling please be there to help me up. I'll love you always and forever. Hey I still have the t-shirt you made to prove it. (lol)
