Your heroism and service is honored today, the 117th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Constable Johnson, No officer should be listed without a reflection of his contribution to his community and personal sacrifice. Although over 100 years have passed since you were taken from us, you no doubt have enjoyed a special place in heaven as a law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty. When my time comes to be called to my final roll call I will look forward to shaking your hand. Rest in peace my brother.
