I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the Walsh Family and the officers and staff of the Joliet Police Department over the tragic loss of Officer Jonathan E. Walsh. Once again a coward has taken the life of another brother officer from the thin blue line.
May God bless the Walsh Family and the officers & staff of the Joliet Police Department during this very sad time. May our brother Jonathan rest in peace. Jonathan will now patrol the streets of Heaven with St. Michael and his angels. Never forget the fallen hero!

Ptl. Walsh and Family,
Sir, I first want to say how sorry I am to your family. We all hurt in our Law Enforcement Family when a Brother dies. Sir, Thank You, for giving us a reason to raise our heads high in the gift of your bravery and honor. Sir, you were willing to stand and protect those who could not protect themselves. You Sir, made a true difference in this life and not many can say that. This seperation is not eternal but the gift God has for his peacemakers is. You are a HERO and were everday you were here with us on this earth. The world is simply made better because of MEN like you and I say Thank You from the bottom of my heart. Your family will be taken care of by us so Please accept the peace and rest the Lord has for all of us who love him. Until we meet again help us to show the bravery and honor that only comes from HEROS, like you. "Poi si torno' 'all eterna fontana."
