Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Captain Michael Lawrence Sparkes, Sr.

Dear fellow officer, you paid the ultimate price…
You did your job, you stood your ground and you made the sacrifice!

True to your Oath, I know your department’s proud…
As you move upward, pursuing, the ecclesiastical crowd!

Whatever conflict you knew behind the blue line…your debt is now zero…
Because now, etched on a special wall, you’ll forever be known as a hero!

Tears will run down and a painful heart will be felt…
Only your Brothers understanding the cards you’ve been dealt!

You job has not ended; and you’ll walk a spiritual tour…
Being Guardian to cops placed at dangers door!

I write these words from deep in my heart…
Because I’m a Brother officer and I was from the start!

Rest peacefully please, Dear Brother Sparkes…
I hope you are blessed in your heavenly larks!

My sincere and deepest condolences to the family of Captain Sparkes. God rest his soul, and may He provide comfort to those here suffering the loss of Capt. Sparkes. Thank God the suspects were apprehended so they cannot do this to anyone else. My heartfelt sorrow and sympathies to the family. We all grieve with you.

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the Sparkes Family and the officers & staff of the Los Angeles County Police Department over the tragic loss of Captain Michael Sparkes. Once again a coward has taken the life of another brother officer from the thin blue line.
May God bless the Sparkes Family and the officers & staff of the Los Angeles County Police Department during this very sad time. May our brother Michael rest in peace. Michael will now patrol the streets of Heaven with St. Michael and his angels. Never forget the fallen hero!
